Yes, no more trading multiple picks for a single player. Let's get the best player we can get. Don't worry about position. We need help all over.
Agreed....for me, if you are doing a good job in the draft, then no more trading draft picks to move up unless you have extra selections and rookies are less likely to make the team.
We all hope Lawrence turns into a consistent pass rusher and quality DE, but one must wonder how important that 3rd round guy might be or how important that 2nd rounder might be to the team today along with someone other than Clayborne and Lawrence.
Martin, Lawrence, Hitchins and Patmon.... Without these guys it would of been a different season... And waiting in the wings is Street, Bishop and Gardner.... Whoever is making personnel decisions deserves much credit..
Especially on defense. Shore up that side and we'll be rolling. Just think, we're rolling already with this defense.
Will McClay.
Will McClay.
Is Jerry doing this on his own? If so, how did he suddenly get good?
Snyder is the Commanders GM, he just has Bruce Allen as his front man. I figure Jerry Jones was doing the same as Snyder.
You are preaching to the choir. I loved the fact that he held his best move after diagnosing how the LT was setting in his pass pro. Football is a like a physical game of chess with many one on one moments that is either good or bad for the team concept. To think that a rookie was able to process the LT technique and execute his mini game plan within the context of the game is flat out awesome. That made my chest fill with pride almost like when I see my kids make a play in a game. What I liked most about the rookies, was DLaw's timing, the biggest thing that people held against Ware was his sacks weren't usually that meaningful in the timing of the game. DLaw recovered a fumble which he lost of course, and then had a sack fumble to end the game.
Can't have better timing than that come playoff time. DLaw was clutch, we needed it at that time, and he gave us results.......all we can ask for from a rookie who missed half the season. On a day where Martin had his problems with Suh, DLaw turned in the best game of our rookies and showed us he might actually be worth the move up in the draft.
No he is not doing it on his own then again he has never done it on his own, he has relied on Lacewell, Ireland, Ciskowski and now McClay. I would say my only beef with some is when the picks have been bad it was all Jerry when players pan out it was someone else when the fact he is has been the last word on players we get so good or bad he shares in it
I betcha in the Dlaw is a bust thread, Jerry got all of the blame. Now when the kid is showing flashes it has to be McClay, lol.
