How can Ryan hide McCray this game?

Wow-it's like people think the 'Boys have no chance this week.

Newsflash-Saints "D" isn't all that good either despite last week anomoly. I think they are wondering how on earth they will stop the Cowboys offense with all of those weapons as well.

Oh and McCray does suck. You'll see a lot of Sterling Moore and Peprah if he's healthy.

Brees and his wrs must be salivating when they watch the tape on McCray. I give Ryan a ton of credit for how he has hidden many of our defciencies this year, I think McCray is the only one who has been completely exposed. That said, the Saints go down field as much as if not more than any team in the league. How will Ryan hide this guy?

Its not about hiding guys.. its about putting them in positions to succeed based on their strengths.

Very simply.. i'd play McCray mainly on running downs and have him playing agressive in run support. Passing downs.. replace him if you can.

While your at it, replace Sense on every down if you can.

Lets just line up and play. It's worked 5 out of six weeks. Why change it now?? Danny Graham is just another obstacle on our way to the playoffs with this vagabond def lineup.

Do the Saints have any tendencies as far as running downs are concerned? Down? Distance? Field position? If not, makes it a lot tougher to do.

The Saints TE. He's pretty good you know??

Pssst...that would be Jimmy Graham. Daniel Graham was a backup TE, but was cut earlier this season.

I would imagine asking that question of a Cowboys official or assistant coach would be alot more effective than asking me. Im sure they have some tendancies which our scouts and personel are aware of.. as all teams do. Ryan will be prepared, no doubt.

Maybe you should check your names before starting up with the sarcasm. It's Jimmy Graham btw....

That's the problem though. McCray is often out of position from where he is supposed to be, and fails to make a play when he is in position. I re-watched the game against the Bengals, and on one play, McCray was in position to jump in front of AJ Green for an easy interception. Instead, he seemed to hesitate, tripped over his own feet and stumbled.

First i think Peprah should be back. But if you want to hide his bad coverage skills. Keep him up on the LOS like he was most of the Pitt game. The guy is a good tackler in run support.

NO likes to attack the seams. That is why Dallas safety play could determine the outcome. Just for this game - I am actually in favor of moving Carr over to safety and starting Mo and Jenkins at CB.

This sounds like a good start,,, there are also some things Ryan can do schematically to help. Other teams have noticed how Brees heavily favors the seam routes and had defenders positioned to pounce on those throws.

Bingo. If Peprah is back that'll make things much easier. You can go back to playing him on passing downs and Danny on running downs.

Vs NO which downs are running downs and which ones are passing downs? :laugh2:

Have him sit behind the bench?

Given all the injuries this team is dealing with they need every able body they can get. McCray will play

I know. It was a joke.

Like some have already stated, keep him close to the LOS and move other pieces to cover safety, e.g. Carr or Peprah.
