How can you not be excited about this offense?

Dak is back and should be ready to go, he'll have weapons at his disposal to throw to. You take a young stud in Lamb, and pair him with Pickens, fireworks should go off every game! Pair that a hungry TE in Ferguson, and some young backup TE's, along with a speedy Turpin, our passing game should challenge defenses in a way it hasn't challenged them in several years.

Our commitment to add to the offensive line can't be unnoticed. Do we have questions at both OT positions, of course, but with dedication from these OT's and new coaches to challenge them, we hope they improve to levels unknown for this offense. Our interior OL is looking great with Tyler Smith, and Beebee who as a rookie showed a lot of promise. Factor in a mean tough and nasty rookie in Booker, and we should be able to be more physical up front.

Questions still are there at the RB position, but I don't think it's that deep as fans have made it. Training camp begins soon, open up competition for EVERYONE and not just whoever is the highest paid/etc. Let those guys compete and the best person will get the start and hopefully will have a chance to find his rhythm in games and not be taken out so often. Sprinkle in some plays from our rookie in Blue, his speed alone if we can create lanes/get him catches, could be exceptional for us.

I'm excited about the thoughts of this offense and where things can go. You can't rule out other guys like Mingo/Tolbert giving us help on offense. I want to see how different the offense looks from previous seasons under Mike McCarthy. Will we rely on Dak to be in the shotgun often, will we see more 12 personnel. I can't wait, please give your thoughts!!

It all comes down to one thing. Daks health. He’s became a big injury risk. From thumbs and calves, to hamstrings, ankles, and shoulders. Can he play 15-16 games? If so, we will see how good this offense will be. If not, we better hope Milton is better than Rush and we will be lucky to win 8.

We do have hope.

There are questions at RB and OL.
Steele, Booker, Guyton—any one of them could stunt the progress of the offense. Not one of them is a guaranteed stud at his position in 2025.
We do not have a stud RB who can carry the load for the second year in a row.
On top of that, Ferguson must rebound from a down year and Dak must shake off any rust right away.

In my mind, this offense is likely one more year of seasoning/development and 2-3 draft/free agent additions until it will be a real threat. But who knows, maybe they will surprise me a year early.

I think the real excitement begins after Dak gets hurt against the Eagles. Joe Milton project will begin.
That's the ONLY way the Cowboys offense could reach it's potential.
However, fair warning: I live in Tennessee and watched Milton in college. He was okay, but not as good as Hendon Hooker or Joshua Dobbs.
But he doesn't choke. His worst tendency was unexplained throws. But good coaching reeled him in. I'm sure he has gotten better.
But as long as Dak Prescott is the quarterback, nothing changes from what we've seen over the past eight years.
And if the defense struggles this season it could lead to an early collapse.
I don't think the Cowboys players believe in Dak anymore. After being repeatedly left out to dry in big games, I think they know their fates are sealed as being unable to beat good teams with him.

Yes, by Joe Milton sucking and getting a high draft pick.

They'll probably get a high draft pick with Dak Prescott, too.
The NFC East is not as bad as it has been in the past. If Washington and Philly play well again and with the Giants looking to be better, Dak can't count on easy wins in the division this year to pad his stats.
And if the defense struggles, the offense will not help them. Look for Dak's inability to move the ball vs good teams to make it even harder on the defense.
If the Cowboys lose early and often, I think the wheels come off before mid season.

Nobody straddles the hater/homer fence like Coog.
Depends on the season bud!!! Lol, i'm not a "homer" i'm negative, but at some point, I just want to see football and see us be successful! I have no issue still saying this player or that player needs to fix this and that, don't get it twisted fella!! lol

I made a post months ago saying the giants may be a shocker team that we shouldn't overlook, maybe washington will be worse, and we'll take their place

It's got potential. But a lot of questions.

-Can Dak return to 2023 form?
-Can the Tackles step their game up?
-Can either of the FA RBs be at least serviceable?
-Will Blue be anything like what he was in college?
-Did Ferguson just suffer from poor QB play?

Well, the good season vs bad season trend could very well continue this year. As much as things on paper look very positive, as always, time will tell, and I will NOT let myself get overly excited until we see the on-field performance. Jerry is brilliant getting everybody sucked in, however.
