If we sign Kyle Kosier what does that say about Peterman's lack of improvement? Has anyone heard anything on Peterman?

I think it says more about how likely we are to re-sign Gurode.

IT says absolutely nothing about peterman. Korvier is being signed because he can play just about any position on the line except center.

only that he sucks...wait that was just me that said that when we drafted him. I still think we used a first day pick on a guy that will only be a back up OG, that's pretty lame. I sure hope he proves me wrong but I don't see him becoming a starter, or at least not a good starter, and replacing LA? fugget about it

BP never said anything I would take as positive on him... saying he is one dimensional... I'd take that as being a good run blocker, but not good in pass protection... maybe it's flipped... but, the fact that Gurode got playing time over him, would lead me to believe he is not progressing well... hopefully one year removed from injury, we'll see more...

No he is one dimensional because he only plays left guard. parcells needs guy to be able to play more than one position. but if larry allen was gone he would give peterman the chance to start.

actually the "one dimensional comment" wasn't negative -- in the same PC he said the "thought he had a player behind Allen."

the now famous 'one dimensional' statement was in response to a question about why Peterman wasn't dressing - it was because Bill was taking guys who played multiple line positions.

See folks. Context is important.

maybe... but, explain to me why Gurode started in Rivera's place... Gurode wasn't exactly great... if Peterman is that "player" then shouldn't he have got a shot to prove it? RG and LG aren't that much different... I've played both, it's not a hard adjustment...

That's exactly right. Parcells likes Peterman... he just is a LG only. That's why he isn't dressed on gameday because Bill needed versitile guys as reserves in case someone other than Larry Allen got hurt.

If Larry would've been hurt for 6 games last year, you would've seen Peterman as the starting LG.

Because gurode plays center as well.

so, you dress a guy and start at him at RG, because he can play C, too?? Say he moved to C, who plays RG behind him? If Peterman isn't dressed, then what's the deal? that's not the reason... the reason was Gurode looked better in practice and he got the start...

and don't tell me Peterman is only a LG... I've played LG, C and RG... guard is guard.. the only difference is leading with your feet... it's a very easy transition..

I would sit back and relax with Peterman. He was good in training camp and the preseason. He just needs an opportunity.
