IRVING — Jerry Jones was asked after the regular-season finale at Washington to reflect on how this season’roster was put together.
The Cowboys owner and general manager conceded that Dallas built a 2014 team that’s 12-4 with a combination of skill and luck.
“That’s the case. I’m a pretty good student of how teams draft players,” Jones said. “I’m a big-time student of general-manager decisions. You have to look at all of them. You have to have some luck. You have to have some things fall right for you.”
