No, it's points allowed by the defense. I don't think points scored by the other teams defense are included.

Look carefully. The rankings have our defensive points per game at 2.9 which is fourth best in the league. That's not points allowed. That's Jeff Heath returning a fumble for a touchdown ect. Defensive scoring.

If you go on the site you go can to the sidebar and find our points allowed per game:

By the way I just realized they have a breakdown for points allowed by the defense, offense and special teams. When you look at only the points the defense allows to the offense our rank falls from 22 to 27.

With almost identical stats to that of a certain America's Team QB.

Let's give Russell our defense and offensive line and see how he does.

Just sayin'.

Nice subjective look Romo groupie. Wilson has over 450 yards rushing. Something our QB can't do.

Thanks, I was not looking at what he posted closely, just that normally when people refer to defensive points, they're talking about points allowed by the defense.

Points scored by your own defense is not an important stat, IMO. It's nice to get defensive scores, but it's a fluke-ish stat because they might be getting a lot of turnovers but just giving it to the offense to actually score.

On that site, it is "Opponent Offensive Points per Game". The Cowboys currently rank 27th with 24.7 points average points allowed. The ranked 23rd in 2012 with 22.5 points allowed per game.

Considering that they are only giving up 2.2 more points per game but are ranked 4th in turnovers compared to tied for 27th in 2012, I would consider 2013 to be better than 2012.

They are almost 1 turnover per game better defensively than in 2012. I'll take that over the extra 2.2 points allowed.

Romo groupie?

You call me a "Romo Groupie" while telling ME to be subjective?

Wow.

Welcome to the ignore list, Hater.

I think Seattle is probably the best team in the NFL but not "head and shoulders" better than everyone else. They can, and have, been beat.

Lovin' that profile pic Sarge, pure awesomeness!

And makin' me thirsty!
