How did Jermey Parnell look

Not really. Free is better in the pass IMO. Parnell is a better run blocker. Parnell can keep Free on the bench if he steps up.

I don't know that Parnell is better as a run blocker. They are different though. Parnell is more of a guy that can dominate a guy and pancake him with his physical ability. Free is technically sound as a run blocker, does more with his technique and while he isn't overpowering, he can really get the job done in the run game. As pass blockers Free is more consistent and has the vet tricks of the trade at his disposal while Parnell is still trying to learn.

If you want the best, most consistent guy out there, Free is the man. Parnell is the guy that still has upside with playing time. Gonna be interesting to see what happens the next few weeks. Both guys are playing for a contract.

Parnell was decent, as others have said. I don't think he is quite as good as Free just yet.

Also, Tyron Smith's ankle I think is worse than he or the team has let on. His lateral movement was just not there today, several times JPP just speed rushed around him and he Tyron could not get the cut off block. Even though he played relatively good today, he was not his usual dominating self. Just an observation I noticed.

Anytime we haven't noticed Parnell's performance much, nor heard his number being called, we know he's had a pretty good day. It was reported during the week that he still hadn't recovered 100% from his rib injury, so it's greatly to his credit that he held up as well as he did. Common sense suggests he's very likely to improve given time. More experience will help him shake off the rust from so many weeks of gametime inactivity. Whenever your backup RT has had such a scant amount of gametime action, it's best to exercise patience. He should be fine.

I live in the Bay Area I was stuck watching the Cardinals and Raiders smh

Started rewatching the game this morning focusing on the line (only got through the first two drives). On those drives, he allowed two quick pressures on Romo. Romo stepped up away from the first one and got the second pass off just before he got hit. And he allowed the DE to extend his arms and shed on a run play to tackle Murray at the line. I think there was another play where he didn't win the point of attack and his man made the tackle as well. ... It wasn't a great start.

Not sure if this was posted already:

Mathias Kiwanuka -- While Pierre-Paul was battling one of the best offensive tackles in the game on the other side and winning a pretty good amount of the time, Kiwanuka was for the most part getting nothing done against Jermey Parnell, starting in place of the injured Doug Free. Kiwanuka played 57 snaps. Damontre Moore played nine. It is time, probably past time, for that to stop. Kiwanuka offers leadership and still has the desire. He just doesn't have the ability. Moore will make mistakes and will, at times, just not be strong enough to hold up vs. the run. He is, however, the future opposite JPP. That future needs to start now.

Great in the run. So So in pass protection.

Which is pretty much what I think most felt he was going to be going in.

I'd say he gave you exactly what was believed he would give us and if he can do that then he'll be just fine while Free gets healthy.

If I was a defensive end I would rather play against Free then Parnell.

Parnell is a beast and would get better with playing time.
