Nelson does need special attention. You can put Scandrick on Cobb and Moore on Adams. Keep Carr trailing to prevent the back shoulder passes he's in sync with Nelson on.

Well that's why you keep both Safeties back. Until the front proves they can't stop the run.

You guys are overrating Nelson. He's not Dez or Calvin needing a double team all game. Mix it up with him

Defenses must think the same thing because almost every game I see him running free with a defender trailing 10 yards behind him. I don't understand how he is capable of doing this week after week. And it isn't like he's a burner because his 40 time is the same as Dez's.

But your right that he isn't as good as Dez or Megatron.

That's Rodgers pocket presence that makes Nelson look better than he is. He's a great player but not scary.

From my perspective, Calvin Johnson is a shell of what he was in the past.

I hope not! I'm a huge fan of his (except when he plays the Boys).. Kind of like watching Barry. Funny both are from the Lions.. I really hope he breaks all of Rice's records.. Hate the stinking Niners

Oh it's the Jordy Nelson fan club president

just my opinion

many other posters have commented throughout the year about how GB does a great job of getting him (wide) open all over the field.

I havent seen that with Johnson and Detroit. Hence is why I think he'll be a tougher matchup. Not to mention Cobb

Take it how you want to take it

I would say next week just keep the ball in front of us and keep Rodgers in the pocket (shouldn't be that hard if he is hurt as much as they say, which considering he isn't practicing until late this week... I imagine it is). Make them beat us in the red zone where the Lions had trouble tonight.

Well, he did break all the all-time NFL record this season for most long TD (40 yard+) passes with 7 beating a 3 way tie with Jerry Rice, Bob Hayes, and Crazy Legs Hirsh.

I think Jordy Nelson has likely been chronically under-rated his entire career for somewhat obvious reasons.

If we are going to beat GB's passing game, were going to have to keep them off the field with time of possession. We didn't do that well this week. We need to run the ball better next week.

Exactly. I also think it'll be important to start fast and play with a lead if at all possible. I'd hate to have to depend on getting multiple stops in a row against that offense while we try and dig out of a hole.

A lot of miles. He's just not the same guy. Plus, now they have moved a number of their targets to Tate.

They may not have stopped Tate but they certainly slowed him down :)

Damn straight.

Not to mention those three and outs. They were killing me.
