That would be me.

It is just a natural thing for kids to be drawn to winners.

I have a friend, .. a boy that I have known since he was in Little League, .. he is now a Sr. in high school. He is a Cowboys fan because his Dad is, .. so we have always talked about the Cowboys.

When I see him, .. I always bow to him, because he is a fan but has never seen Dallas win ANYTHING! I tell him he is "the best" fan because he remains loyal even though he has never experienced winning, ... ever!

he certainly deserves that title. hopefully this generation of kids start to see some winning over the next few years.

I was a bills fans in the early 70's (born in Syracuse, NY) and loved OJ Simpson's "slashing" style (sorry, ban pun)...anyway, my family moved to NE Penna in summer of '72 and one day (Can't remember exactly when), I watched a comeback win by Staubach and company and I was fan from that point on

The violence drew me to football but I think the fedora and the star drew me to the Cowboys. It was a long time ago when you played football on one of these

I had that game as a kid...thanx for the memory!!!

I became a fan during the 90s super bowl run, half of it was because Dallas was able to get three superbowl wins and the college team in the stat I live in failed to do it. The other half of it was I liked the uniforms, the players and the whole Cowboys being Americas Team

In high school, there was this girl I had a crush on that was a huge Cowboys fan. Needless to say, I started watching the games so I could talk Cowboys with her. Been hooked since

I moved to Dallas in 1991 at the age of 8. My older cousin was a huge fan and made me watch all the games.

When I was 4 years I old I saw this movie and everything Cowboys just clicked for me. Been a die-hard fan ever since. I live in Western NY and love all Dallas teams. Funny story.

Explain Oilers/Texans fans.

Well, they be the lost tribe. The misguided fans of a franchise team. Oiler fans? gimme a break. Texans fans? Why follow a team that has practically no lore, no place in the pantheon of NFL greatness? Huh? Huh?
Go bother someone else who needs it.

I was living in San Antonio, probably 6-7 years old (1978) and was watching football with my dad. Of course Dallas was on and that made an impression on me. I remember riding the bus to school wearing Cowboys stuff and some of the other kids were saying that the Oilers were a better team. A couple of years later, we moved to Detroit in 1980. Thankfully, I took the Cowboys with me.

I still remember watching the Championship game thinking that Dallas was going to play the SB in Detroit. Bummer. Years later I remember being laughed at for wearing my Cowboys hat in school in 1989, but I always stuck with them. Thankfully, they rewarded me in the 90's.

I was really young when I became a fan. My dad, uncles, brother, and uncles were all Cowboy fans. The first Cowboy I knew about was Tony Dorsett. It was his rookie year. All I remember is everyone saying how good he was. They beat the broncos in the Super Bowl that year. I've been hooked every since.

I'm a Dallas native. My love for sports actually comes from the women in my family. :) My Pops played for the Cedar Hill Longhorns back in the early 60's but, that was the extent of his sports enjoyment. He doesn't really care for professional sports. My Grandmother on my Mom's side took me to my first game in 83 when I was just a wee lad. She actually sewed Coasters and Afghans with The Cowboys Star Logo on them. To this day I watch the games frequently with my Mom and if I'm not, I am texting her thru the entire game. We also watch Rangers, Stars, Mavericks together as well as Tennis. She's 65 and not in the best of health. Hope I can keep her around long enough to celebrate another Superbowl with her. Go Cowboys!

Awesome movie man! Spike was awesome lol. This big bully wearing a star on the helmet vs a bunch of idiots just made me like the Cowboys. Interesting way to like a football team isn't it? haha
