Much is scheme, much of it is lack of high IQ players. Hero ball stuff. The players been tuning out coaches for weeks. I think after Micah was dealt, they decided back then to not put their heart in it. Their buddy was mistreated. That's how they view it. Micah is a huge mouthpiece.Make no mistake. It's a factor.

It wasn't just Micah. We had 3 high profile negotiations in a row that were turned into a circus. Dak was willing to play Jerry's game. Ceedee and Micah had to refuse to practice, hold in, whatever you want to call it. Micah said screw you. Who wants to be treated that way?

Exactly. Even with Micah we couldn't do squat last year . We won 6-7 games. Folks pretend he's some kind of unicorn for the defense. We couldn't sniff a win with him in the post season. Now the players we have won't listen to flus because they mad. Diggs is the ringleader.

Some simply expect too much from a single player. Micah, with this year's offense could make a big difference. In the Packers game against Chicago him being there would have likely won that game. They almost won it without him but Caleb wouldn't have picked them apart at the end.

Yup, if we had Micah, sure he’s a pass rusher and would have had some sacks here, but we would have the worst run D in the league. Traded that for a much improved run D, better DTs EASILY, and a first. Now, we need a better DE and a better DC to scheme up pressure. I really want to see what a creative DC, a leader can do with this crew and a few more players.

Nobody's saying not to have acquired the other players on the line.

Not scheme, not IQ. Either you can rush the passer or not, period. Does it matter what system Parsons, Crosby, Garrett, Watt or any type of good DE plays in?

Ideally, you marry talent and scheme, but if you are only going to have one, it has to be talent.

It’s not hard to do if you play for the Cowboys, you rush anywhere from 4 to 5 guys and you make sure that the middle of the pocket is wide open so that a QB who is in trouble has at least a 5 to 8 yard opening in the middle for his escape. The Cowboys are the best at allowing a QB to make the Cowboy pass rush look about as sloppy as they come. It’s simply amazing how a Cowboy D-Lineman can get a hand on a QB , but can’t finish the job. QBs easily break away from any hold that a D-Lineman has on him and ends up running for 1st downs or TDs!!!!
