How do we go multiple games without a sack?

Eberflus up in the box on high never saw what was going on and never made corrections. Fire that guy!.

Because this guy is making the defense ........ and he is starting to look like Al Davis

Davis has always been Jerry’s pro football hero. I know he has to be jealous that Al was actually the Raiders coach before he became AFL Commissioner and eventually the Raiders owner. Jerry certainly treats the team like he’s the coach.

jerry said something post game yesterday about how he feels its important to sit in during coaches meetings. I really couldnt understand what the babbling bozo was saying.

Jerry sees himself as the head coach and all of the others are his staff

This is why I cut Schottenheimer so much slack. Being the coach of the Cowboys has to be the worst HC job in the NFL. The amount of nonsense you have to deal with and the skill required to manage up is at another level.

What will be the next excuse for Eberflus?

I have been watching or re-watching a few Cowboys games focused on exactly this problem. I have noticed a few things.

Sam Williams is just bull rushing every passing down. He rarely even tries to speed rush outside or inside. This is not the same Williams I remember before his injury. He didn't have a lot of moves but he had speed to the outside. He could be dealing with a loss of quickness from the injury, or maybe he is still unwilling to test it. Or, maybe they have him so focused on setting the edge that he is trying not to take himself out of running plays by going outside or inside.

Fowler is just a step away a bunch of times. Maybe he is just getting old.

Ezeiruaku is often overmatched. If he gets pressure it is usually after the QB has had a few seconds to sit in the pocket and scan the field. He looks so small compared to some OTs.

Clowney tries really had but he too may be a step too slow these days.

Eberflus will call a blitz now and then but it is frustrating how we get a guy with a free shot and the QB and he misses. It happens at least twice every game. Those plays should be sacks, at least most of them. And it's not one guy. They all seem to miss when they get there. Tackling in general is a problem for this team but those misses on the QB are huge plays.

Still, I think he need to call more pressures. Ask the CBs to play tight man coverage and send 6 guys. Can it really be any worse than what we are seeing?

Some data to consider:

Dallas has only 29 sacks this year. That's 8th worst in the league. What's bizarre is SF has only 18 and they are going to the playoffs with 11 wins already.

Dallas has only 6 Interceptions. That's 2nd worst. Only the Jets have fewer with 0. Again, SF is tied with Dallas at 6 yet won 11 games.

Finally, Dallas allows the most passing yards per game of any team in the NFL. Not shocking considering the other two stats.

Poor teaching, poor messaging, players missing tackles on the QB routinely, and not the right players. That's how.

He asked out. He's been paid like a king. He was hardly mistreated. Lol But yeah, he and Jerry mishandled it.
I don't understand how anyone can think Micah mishandled it. He had been trying for a year for a new deal. He even made overtures that the most money wasn't important. As far as Jerry, anyone who doesn't completely blame him because he circumvented Micah's agent. Even saying asinine stuff like, I don't even know his name, isn't living in reality. Nothing personal, but it makes no sense to me.

Because we run bend but don’t break defense put 7or 8 in coverage every time that’s how you don’t get sacks

Laying on the table eating nachos and sleeping in game isn't mishandling it? Exaggerating an injury in order to not practice or play isn't mishandling it? Scrubbing your social media account of all things Dallas isn't mishandling it? Asking for a trade isn't mishandling it? I get it, Jerry messed up bad, he should have been dealing with the agent from the jump. But Micah chose to meet with Jerry without his agent present. No one forced him to. Micah gave Jerry the sense that they could hammer something out, so they called the agent. Then that's when the agent got ugly. He was butt hurt. The agent, Jerry, Micah, all made mistakes. It was time to part ways.

By then he was over it and wanted out. In that situation the only leverage you have is to be a problem for the team. I was pretty specific on when I think Jerry screwed it up and why. Dragging his feet creating all kinds of stupid drama to the detriment of not only the player but the team. Literally refusing to talk to his agent is inexcusable. I don't know how anyone can spin it any other way. Totally and utterly inexcusable. No way I would want to play there either if I was Micah.

"Under Article 48 of the current NFL-NFLPA Collective Bargaining Agreement (2020 agreement, effective through 2030), clubs (teams/owners) are prohibited from negotiating individual player contracts with anyone other than a duly certified NFLPA agent when the player is represented by one." Micah had an agent and specifically told Jerry to talk to him.

I'm guessing the league is treating Jerry with "grace" because of senility. Because he should have been fined.

The way he was apologizing to Jerry and Stephen after the loss and saying the Special Teams wasnt good enough. On Hard Knocks was literally vomit inducing. Have some stones and integrity.

I mean I get owning up to faults, but that was very pathetic to me. Players see that too btw.
