its easy to change the call, it obviously wasnt a first down...I could even tell live that it was probably short

and replay kept us in the game anyway...they did get the Glenn fumble corrected, that saved us 5 pts...and they correctly upheld RW's pick

If you want to blame the call on the refs...blame them for calling it a first down when IT WAS NOT.

Honestly though, did the spot matter in the end.

Had we been given the first down I have no doubt Dallas would have kneeled the ball until there was about three second on the clock and then kick the game winning field goal. No guarantee in that scenario that Romo does not fumble the snap.

There was nothing wrong with that at all. It was clear he caught the ball outside the one and got stopped cold then pushed back. The ball never made it to the one yard line.

Lost in all this is, if Romo hadn't fumbled the ball, he might have made the first. It doesn't matter now.

The refs and reasoning...

That pass interference on Newman which gave the Hawks the ball on the one yd line was a terrible call amongst many in this game....I saw several holding calls not called against the Hawks off. line.

This game was not called the same on both sides....no doubt.
