Guys, don't be so sure that the Egirls are on their last legs. I think what the game showed is that, while they may not be a one-man team, they are not nearly as effective without a healthy McNabb. He was clearly hurting and that made the 'Boys job much easier.
I think they may very well crash and burn this year if Donovan doesn't find a way to lessen his pain, but their window of opportunity isn't slamming shut as some of you seem to think.
They still have a lot of talent, and McNabb should come back healthy next year. They are $12 million under the cap and can easily replace any off season losses they sustain. If they sign or draft a top tier RB and decide to make running plays part of their game plan, there is no reason to think they won't be competitive for several more years. McNabb is still young by QB standards too.
That's not to say that we can't, or perhaps already have, overtake them. If we become as strong as I think we will, we will beat them anyway. But they are not going to deteriorate to the dirt floor of the NFL cellar. They will be competitive.
