How do you feel about this Offensive Line

I'd love for Leary to win the job. He's younger, as well. But I really just want the best 5 players on the OL at one time, and Uche is pretty darn good.

I was happy with what I saw in Leary today. I think he is the most talented of the 3 with a higher ceiling

Parnell looked as mobile as many of the statues in the Hall of Fame.

He didn't look good at all today from what I could see. I was talking to my brother about it. How did this guy go from tons of ability to a statue? It's really disappointing.

Couldn't disagree more, dude looks like a different player

Cmon bro. If you look at the tape last yr, Doug Free was by far our worst lineman. I remember reading @xwalker saying that callahan had the rest of the oline cover up for frees deficiencies last yr thus making their job harder.

I respect X a lot but my opinion isn't based off of what he posts. A guy like free will never win this fan base over no matter how well he plays. He played very well and was highly ranked most of the year at RT. You don't just get there by having other players "shade" to his side. He played well within himself and what he was asked to do. Every player has limitations and it's the coaching staffs job to put the players in position to help minimize them. He worked hard this offseason again and it does show, he looks a lot trimmer so he it appears he is trying to work on his weaker areas. I expect a solid year from him. You don't put in that kind of work and have
Nothing to show for it

X showed in detail what he was talking about. All you have is drivel.

When Bernie was inserted back into the lineup, he was a much better O-Linemen than Leary. I don't rag on Leary that much. I thought he did a good job for the team last year. He was stout in pass protection and wasn't awful in run blocking.

I like the O-Line quite a bit, but I'm afraid we'll be throwing too much and using so much shotgun that it will take away from the strength we have in the O-Line.

I understand what he was talking. But again I form my opinions off of what I see. I didn't knock X at all, he's actually one of my favorite posters on this board. I didn't ask your opinion thanks

I think all excuses should finally be eliminated. No reason this offense shouldn't score at will now.

I can think of reason why they don't score at will. Denver was the highest scoring team last year but did not score at will vs the Seahawks if they had we would call them world camps. I think our offense will be much improved and I do expect this offense to score but when you make claims of scoring at will then you create an unattainable expectation, there are some quality defense in this league and even top offense will have to fight to put up points.

They were explosive and practically unstoppable. We should be that now.

And you blew off what was very clear in what he was pointing out; so that tells me you don't know squat about O line.

I really like the work they've done to this O-line and I'm very pleased with what we have for the O-line. I believe it's going to be the strength of this team.

Dude just shut up already. Get off your soap box. I don't care what it tells you. I am not here to flex my knowledge. But you clearly just want to pick a fight. Which is something you do a lot these days. I am entitled to my opinion just like everyone else. You act like I said something that is so outrageous. Free played well last year he looks like he worked on his core this offseason as he looks trimmer. I read all his posts and we have talked about it before. He noted my observation over Free looking trimmer as well. You know I use to enjoy your posts but you've turned into a salty old man. I will not respond to you again if you can't understand its MY opinion. I never challenged X or said he was wrong so get over it.

I still think that Martin was drafted with the idea of eventually moving him to RT, which could happen sooner than later if Free is actually struggling.

Him struggling would explain why they put in a waiver claim on whatshisface from Seattle and moving Martin would explain why their signings during TC have been depth guys. I'd be more than fine with:

Smith - Leary - Fred - Bern - Martin

That would leave Nwaneri/Martin as backup G, Free and Parnell as backup tackles. Go with 8 on game day and easily be covered should an injury occur.

That sounds like a pretty feasable plan to me.
Also allows the option if Martin plays great at G, and Free is decent at T, as not to make the switch. If an OT is there for the taking in the 2015 draft, they can. Within the 1st 3 rounds that is.
