How do you pass on players you need

Because Ko Simpson scored a 10 on the wonderlick at a position that is basically the QB of the defense. Ko Simpson is probally not even on our draft board.

And for what it is worth Hatcher is NOT a reach, alot of people have Hatcher at about where he was drafted.

We went BPA for this draft. It isn't pretty but that was the plan. Ko Simpson is mentally challenged and the brass didn't feel he could do the job. There is a reason we passed on him. We are not stupid you know.

They obviously havent given up hope on Keith Davis, either have I.

We can find quality FS help on the 2nd day. Good FS's are a dime a dozen.

But on the other hand, we needed serious OL and DT help. I'm not buying the Hatcher to DT nonsense. Not sure how many DT's are effective at 6'7".

Hatcher would have been available on Sunday. If not, big deal.

I agree. People on this board mentioned us taking Gabe Watson and Pat Watkins in the 2nd as 3rd as well, yet they are still on the board. Maybe before we call this draft a failure, we should wait a while and see how these players pan out, and what players we draft in the next couple rounds. Last year after the draft somne people acted like Ireland was a God. Lets wait a little while before we crucify him.
