Does Bisaccia think Rod Smith is that good? He's made a good enough argument so far to keep two FB on the roster despite the fact that we're not good in 21 personnel.

But right now I just can't see any reason for 2 players listed at FB to be on this 53 unless they're going to be core teams players and active on game day.

Because they might want depth at FB due to their commitment to the running game?

If both FBs remain, they might both be active some weeks, but it would be a stretch to see it every week. Players will get hurt and the game day 46 will change to reflect that.

i just have a hard time understanding how wilcox after a few years has not learned to make better adjustments on the angles he takes. Call Darren woodson for cryin out loud and ask for some advice i think many of the old time boys would help if asked.

And that needs to change.

I want a 4th OT, be it on the 53 or Practice Squad.

Right now, La'el Collins or Zack Martin is the emergency 4th OT. I know Martin has taken snaps at Center to be prepared for an emergency there, but I haven't read about him or Collins getting any such looks on the outside.
A 4th OT is a great idea !!!

Swanson is a really good returner, I was hoping we kept him as no one else outside of Whitehead can return.
I agree completely Swanson has something and that is a elusiveness in the return game that just needs some coaching, when that happens and we will have a jewel IMO. I think his return talent is greater than Lucky's.

Jason Garrett was asked about J.J. Wilcox at the end of today's presser.

Q: 5 safeties...Kavon...J.J. Wicox, you want to keep him as well?

A: Yes. J.J.'s part of our football team. He did a good job over the course of the pre-season when he was healthy, took advantage of his opportunities on defense and in the kicking game. He's improved every year he's been here and was in a competitive situation with those other guys for playing time and he'll certainly have a role on our team going forward.

It's hard to take anything he says seriously when he says things like JJ took advantage of his opportunities. The vast majority of the time he didn't look like he belonged on an NFL field. I honestly lost count of how many breakdowns he had. It was more than one hands worth the first game, and seemed to get worse from there.

We have a lot of young talent, and the staff deserves credit there. But, they also have to take responsibility for the huge disparity in talent with the depth, or lack thereof, from completely avoiding vets and being overly loyal (or scared that another guy can't come in and contribute, in what is regarded as an easier system) to guys like Church, Wilcox, etc.

Jerry should pay for some technology where he can input Darren Woodson's thoughts into the brain of Wilcox while the game is being played. Just hire Woodson to watch the game and send out his thoughts to Wilcox. It would be like Woodson playing a video game.
