is this a playoff team?

We're a top 10 team and yes - we'll make the playoffs IMO.

We are very good and would be DOMINANT if the OLINE would run block better. They are hurting this team...

Yes, however to contend for the Superbowl they must improve.

todays game while dissapointing clearly shows they are playoff quality.

Not sure if we make the playoffs, but if we do, I would not want to be the other teams, we are improving every week.....except maybe the OL!

I called us 9-7 at the start of the year. I'm thinking that maybe we get to 10-6 - iffy on making the playoffs. We'll need to beat the Giants on the road because I don't think we can get a wild card spot.

Frankly I don't like our chances against the Giants or the Panthers because they both have two good DEs who will eat Tucker and Pettiti alive. I'm thinking we probably lose these games. I'm also not that confident that our D can contain Larry Johnson when we play the Chiefs. Any RB that can get to the edge has given us fits the last few weeks - the LB play is not good enough.

The 3 offseason priorities will be shore up the OL, LB and K spots.

As BP would say, "we're a 7-4 team". Looking into the future, I don't think it's unreasonable to believe we could finish 11-5 or even run the table and go 12-4. We have the talent.

We sure do miss Flozell though. That's caused a lot of the conservatism on the play calling.

Not very good. Simply put, we can't finish teams out. That's a bad sign of an early playoff exit.

We're 1/2 game out of the division lead in a division that has the league's highest scoring offense (NY). By Monday we might be in the lead again.

We finished off Philly a few weeks ago, right? If we get our o-line gelling and loosen up the play-calling a little (and it wouldn't hurt to get Crayton back), we could very well go all the way. Stranger things have happened.

We are in the top third for sure. A bit inconsistent on O with a weak line. D is becoming solid and dependable. Were learning important and valuable lessons this year that will serve us well in the near future.

The futures close, but not here just yet. But you can see the cloud dust its kicking up on the way to town. Itsa coming for sure, and will be here soon.

Were a team that has now lost 3 games in which we dominated the majority of the time.

Playoffs? Likely one & done on the road somewhere. Our O is no go.

Unfortunately, I concur.

Our OL is pitiful and this team has repeatedly shown it doesn't know how to finish teams off. Unless something major changes soon, I don't see why the rest of the season will be any different.

Of course, I think it'll take ten wins to make the playoffs, so we need to win three out of our last five.
@ NY and Carolina will both be extremely tough.
That would mean we'd need to win against KC, @ Washington and the final against St. Louis. I don't see it as a gimme.

A win today and we'd be almost a lock to make the playoffs and in good shape to win the division. Now, we're on the edge thanks to too many blown games.

Good team...not a great time...we're on the rise...

Big potential problem....The offense is built to win today....the defense, tomorrow.

We are young on one side of the ball, old on the other.

Also, I think we need a strong leader, ON the field, who knows how to take control when a big play is needed and knows how to breathe fire into guys at crunch time....

Ya know, a Michael Irvin type...

Hmm, I think we are damn good. Just look at the hell of a fight we put up. To the "best" team in the league. Hmmmmmm? What happened?? What happened to Denver always playing with the lead? HMMMMMM???? Besides, if Bledsoe wouldn't have thrown that first int. make the score 21 - 14. If Cundiff made that field goal make it 24 - 14. We totally owned these mountain *****es. Jake Plummer that frickin hippie. We always seem to let every team stay in the game. No matter how good or how bad they are. They will come back. At least that wasn't a NFC match up. We still have Giants, Kansas City, Washington, Carolina, and St. Louis. Don't worry people. We could go 12-4. Thats what I'm looking for. This team has heart, talent, the will to win. We just need to tighten up. Every week we have to say that it seems like. I think eventually we'll be tight enough. By the time the post season comes look for an experienced D. Hopefully our running game will get on track. JJ seems like he is always going to break one. He does not put the second effort into it. I saw a few plays today where he just fell down. I know it is harder than it looks. We will get on track.... mark my words.

what i have noticed in the past games we havent been getting that much pressure with our dline or any pressure at all. the coverage has still been good but we need to start getting pressure and our lbs need to do a better job on the outside runs. we need to do a better job on our run blocking no doubt about it. we arent strong enough like the pats are to do much in the playoffs without a running game. the pass blocking has been good enough and is giving drew enough time though. maybe things will start to open up when crayton comes back. but even if we make the playoffs or not which we should make it, we have improved and we have been in every single game we played even against a top 3 team like the broncos. and please for the love of god stop blaming parcells and please stop being so annoying when we lose. im tired of seeing nothing but negative vibes on this board when we lose.

just my two pennies....

You are 100% correct. This is why it is so frustrating watching this offensive line. We have guys who can still make plays but our OL is holding this team hostage. Our line has been bad since 1996. I can't believe we are still struggling in this are after all these 5-11 seasons and plenty of time to rebuild it.
