How good does Glenn have to be to make a difference?

Maybe this is obvious, but it seems to me that to make a difference, i.e. to make the Cowboys a better team, all Glenn has to do is be faster than Sam Hurd. We already know Glenn has outstanding hands. So, if he can run at even 85% of the speed he used to have, he'll probably be faster than Hurd. This is no knock on Hurd ... he's just not a speed guy. The addition of a "speed guy" to the three-wide sets along with the added experience he brings to the field, I think would make Dallas' offense much, much better.

For the record, I don't think he'll be a starter. I doubt his knee would last more than a couple of games as an every down guy. But, as someone who comes in for maybe 10-15 plays a game ... I think he could be a huge addition. Even if he doesn't catch a pass, just the distraction of worrying about just how fast he really is, would open things up for TO, Crayton, and Witten underneath.

It would be nice to see him participate. It's got to be killing him to watch this magical season unfold and not be a part of it.

Glenn has some 'human joystick' in him and so his cuts are needed perhaps even more than his speed...If he can make his cuts and run those routes to get open, the speed is secondary...Of course, on a knee that is rehabbing, cutting is a lot more demanding on it than straight ahead speed.

I'll be really surprised if we see him before the last game

I would like to see Glenn back on the field, but even if he does make it back on the field, I have to wonder just how effective he will be and how the knee will hold up.
