No, Huff gets that honor atm. You cant tell yet but as far as pre-draft eval, he is in the top 5. Where in the top five? Debatable.

Allen is one of those players that could have been up for running of best DB. The hip issues are going to be his major problem and will likely see him slide way down.

Someone's been predicting Allen slip to the 3rd. Him not passing physicals at this point is heresay, and could even be a smokescreen for teams to get him at their spot. If he is healthy, he is a top 3 safety and even a decent backup corner. When healthy, definitely a 1st round pick and more proven than Cromartie.

It's important that he's not passing physicals, but I would hardly put it up there at the level of heresy;)

If he hadn't jacked up the hip, he would have been the best DB in the draft. He's a MUCH better tackler than Huff.

no, and honestly I think he is being really overrated by alot of people

I see a ton of SEC football and alot of Tenn, and while Allen is a good player he isnt an elite one...his great workout is what got people buzzing more than anything

I heard from Mel Kiper if Jason Allen didn't have that hip injury he would've been the first defensive back off of the board.

People how true is this?^

Heresy = blasphemy or a controversial opinion...

Hearsay (it was a misspelling, this is how you spell it) = is the term from the rules of evidence... meaning testimony about what someone else "said," or a rumor

i say he COULD have been the 2nd best talent in this crop if it wasnt for his hip injury, just with the injury and failed physicals it adds tons of question marks. this takes him from 1st-2nd rounder to a definate second and maybe even 3rd rounder.

i like him and what i hear about him, he would be a good addition IF he can recover from that injury, thats why i wouldnt be worried about risking a 3rd rounder on him. the odds of him falling all depend on if there is a team that is willing to risk a 2nd on him.

he is a top talent but injuries set him back.
