One reason I have been tempering my expectations about next year is the fact we avoid injuries better than we had in a long time. I had no statistical analysis to back it up, just a gut feeling about what transpired. The Romo injury looked to be catastrophic until the one of the best rookie seasons ever occurred and his loss was minimized.
Well, this article looks at all teams and gives a more numbers-based approach to how badly hit by injuries they were. They adjusted for things, like Romo not being the official starter after Week 11, but some things are still unexplained. I'd like to know if they counted Leary as a starter all year for Collins because that with Romo would skew their numbers big time.
