I think Dallas is just waiting to see the fate of their own FA's. They dont intend on being major players, but they dont intend on going into the draft with major holes at DB and WR.

The DBs and Williams are shopping around. Wilcox and TB could be a match. Hard to say what happens with Mo, because I dont know if a team will give him a muliple year deal. And I dont think he leaves Dallas for a one year deal. Thats also assuming we want to keep him, but I think (baselessly) they do.

I believe they will resign the players who dont get over paid to team friendly deals. My guess is you see Carr back on a 2 or 3 year deal, and Mo back on another 1 year deal. Its been rather quite on the T Will front, but I still expect him to find a home at a price we wont pay. I think Wilcox is as good as gone.

Once the dust is settled there, then I see us going after some players.

TJ McDonald is a guy I could see us having some interest in. Cover 2 safety, not much more then a vet min guy. A placeholder in the event we dont draft a SS capable of contributing

- Patrick Robinson is a guy we had some interest in last year before he signed with Indy. I could see some interest again if someone doesn't scoop him up

Two WR's with some pedigree I could see them looking at as T Will Replacements.

-Kendell Wright, whose looking promising early in his career but has seen his production decline. I belive we liked him in the 2012 draft. Like McDonald they may look tk him as a placeholder incase they cant get a suitable replacement in the draft.

- Brian Quick, who has a high draft pedigree but hasnt produced up to draft status to this point. Unlike Wright however, 2016 saw a spike in production, and as a big WR he fits what we look for in an outside WR.

Its hard to say what they do at DE. Ware has been discussed ad nauseam. However thats the most likely move for them if they make one. Barwin could be a possibility if he is without a team in a couple weeks on a 1 year deal

I see us cutting Morris, re-signing Mcfadden and signing a CB. Most likely one of our own. Claiborne or Carr.

And that is about it. Maybe a cheap Safety or WR.

I expect to draft a SS,CB,WR and Edge Rusher in the first 4 rounds.
One thing to note, they like to take fliers on draft pedigree. 2012 and 2013 have alot of 1st and 2nd rounders that havent panned out. I could see some guys added as basicly camp invites

I believe Carr re-signs with Dallas. He has been quiet; I would not doubt there is a gentleman's agreement in play.

Depth. People clamor for big names but cheap FAs and later draft picks have been instrumental for Dallas' recent success. You don't get those guys early in free agency.

I see us getting two war Daddies via trade and running through the NFC sacking every qb 4-5x per game setting an NFL record of 70 sacks for the season

But then I woke up.

Not pointing the finger at you, but how come all of these wish lists around here since the season ended never included players like this?

That would be quick. Doesn't that major dust usually last several days? Or does the legal tampering window shortens the frenzied pace?

I think you hit the nail on the head SS... Those couple of extra days at the front end sets up a multitude of deals that are signed right off the bat.

Didn't seem to take as long this year.

I think two things contributed to that... Like StylisticS pointed out, that two-day "non-tampering" window sets up a lot of dominoes early. PLUS it was a lousy free agent class, the fall off in "must have" talent was pretty fast.
