It doesn't sound like there's a expected timetable for Gurode to return, I sure haven't heard much of anything. Is it possible that he would return for the playoffs?

I don't believe there is anything seriously wrong with Gurode, he is just nicked up a bit and I believe he'll be back for the playoffs.

Sunday will be the 3rd game he's missed. Think he had a sprained knee. So he'll get an additional 2 more weeks to recover since he not playing Sunday. Proctor will start his 3rd game.

this will be only his 2nd game missed, he left in the 3rd qtr against the eagles.

He said on the radio the day after it happened that he had a sprained mcl and would be day to day.

I expect everyone ready to go for the playoff game.

Right! 4 full weeks will have passed since Gurode first suffered his MCL sprain injury through making it back to the starting lineup for the first playoff game. Keep in mind that 4 full weeks of rest is a lot of time to recover from an MCL sprain; at lease it is for NFLers who often play through this injury, if need-be, withou little to no rest. So sitting Gurode is purely precautionary and a luxury. It also says a lot about Procter, who has seemingly gained enough of the coaching staff's trust, that they are taking advantage of the luxury to sit Gurode and let him heal. So as long as Gurode keeps his knee "loose" during these 4 full weeks of rest and keeps hitting the weights to keep up with his conditioning, he should be back for the playoffs at nearly 100%, and we'll have a capable backup, in Procter, to spell Gurode in case we need to.

No need to rush him back. He can use the added time off to make sure he's close to 100% for the first playoff game.

Felt that same way for a long while.

Wade said that everyone other than Ro and Gurode would be fine by playoff game. Said he expects TO and Gurode to be ready, but their injuries more serious.

Sounds like the following might not suit up

Tnew
Watkins
Ratliff
Newman

I wonder if they might sit Roy to minimize chances of his next horsecollar getting him 4 games.

That sounds about right. There may be another added as a precautionary measure. The list of those not playing all game is considerably longer. The 4th quarter might closely resemble the 4th preseason game.
