With so many character issue players in this draft, I was wondering about all of the draft picks that have failed due to character issues.

I'm not referring to guys that were just wimpy like Barbie Carpenter or Claiborne or guys with poor work ethic, but guy with more obvious character issues like drugs, legal or resistance to coaching.

Quincy
Antonio Bryant
Derek Ross
Josh Brent - Not a total fail yet, but a big setback.

In terms of failure most that immediately come to mind were either due to lack of talent, poor work ethic, being wimpy Barbie, Claiborne, Jacob Rodgers, etc., than those that failed due to the severe type of character issues.

With all of the police blotter crap, and the draft being in Chicago, it seemed appropriate.

I'll put it to a vote - should it go back to evil Plankton, or evil Hank Voight?

Some of those failed due to lack of talent, regardless of character.

I do think Holmes, Carter, Bryant and Ross had talent and failed because of character. Holmes/Carter had drug issues and Byrant/Ross had issues is coaching.

Shante Carver was just a terrible player. The greatest character in the world would not have made him a good player.

Goodrich had the same issue as Carver, no talent.

Sherman Williams flashed in practice, but never did much on the field. He was basically Lance Dunbar.

I don't recall Sualua being overly talented.

I can't remember if Larrimore showed talent or not.
