How many ex-Cowboys are glad they are ex-Cowboys

So as I was watching the games over the weekend I was constantly hearing the names of some ex-Cowboys players and I was wondering if anybody else thought that, "I wonder if he's glad he's an ex-Cowboy"? These are the players I noticed. Anybody else got any names?

Brandin Cooks
Connor McGovern
Eric Kendrix

Have a great New Year y'all!!
All those guys were here for a short period, I'm sure they're all happy to be playing anywhere.

Guys like Lewis and Lawrence are probably the only 2 guys I associate with the Cowboys that come to mind based on the significant amount of time here. Others were mostly passing through. I'm sure based on this year they both got to play meaningful football longer so I'm sure they feel good with their decision.

I guess my point is a 4th wide receiver can’t change that. To change that is gonna have to come from Dak, Pickens, Lamb, Javonte and Ferg. None of those guys are getting upgraded…..
They Cowboys don't have a "dat dude" red zone threat and really have not had one since Dez departed. The current crop of receivers needs to be open to score TDs. Or at least they need to create the proper angle to present a target for Dak. Early Dak would simply refuse to even attempt those tight window throws that are required in the red zone. This current edition can thread the needle with the ball but that requires two things that I don't think we got enough of this season: 1) Guys creating throwing lanes and 2) Blocking. Especially the latter. How many times were there guys in Dak's face before he finished his drop? We really gotta address the tackle position this year. Oh and Schottie needs to get less pass happy in the red zone or if it's Dak audibling out of runs he needs to reign him in. Our line is huge and our RB1 is a beast. There is zero reason every goal to go needs to begin with anything but a "here comes at least 3 runs" mentality.

They Cowboys....? wth? lol

It’s a violent sport anyone can go down . Turpin is not helping the passing game . Dallas keeps players like Sam Williams around CJ Goodwin guys taking up space on a 53 . Turpin was hardly a threat in the return
game and as a receiver is he making the offense more lethal ,

Ok you kind of going all over the place I thought you were trying to improve red zone offense?

I think all prefer being ex cowboys over x browns.

Maliek Collins
Michael Jackson
Jourdan Lewis
Rico Dowdle
Luke Gifford too but I think he is injured

just to name a few
Yep... they all made it to the playoff as well huh? A couple are out now, but at least they went to the dance.

I know Nashon was picked up and is playing really well for the Bears. I didn't know the others were playing for anyone.

Yes a lot of players are with successful teams right now.

I listed only those of teams that are still in the playoffs. There are plenty more.

Demarcus Lawrence and Schultz needs to be on that list.

Players are looking for the bag everywhere. Every person, especially in America, is looking to get paid somehow. The college portal has over 10k players in it, that in itself should tell you all you need to know.

I don't know. I guess it depends on motives and what they want out of their time in the NFL - what means the most to them as a professional athlete. Demarcus Ware left Dallas because he wanted a chance at a super bowl, a chance he knew would never come if he stayed put. But the rest of them who left? Who knows.

Someone like Dak will probably stay until his career is done. Many players are motivated solely by money with almost zero interest to win, and I think Dak is in that group. Surely he can see that Jerry isn't trying to build a championship roster, yet he seems totally content to stick it out with Jerry's circus. So if you have the passion for bigger things, a Brady type player, why would you stay in a place where you know you will never achieve those goals?

If a player leaves Dallas because they want to win I'm sure they're ecstatic to be away from Jerry. Micah Parsons just wanted to get paid and felt disrespected when Jerry didn't bow to his demands like he did with Dak. I'm sure he's happy to be away from Dallas, but not for the same reasons Demarcus Ware was happy.
Dak has 60 million reasons to put up with the circus. If he leaves no one will pony up that cash. His goal is to work his way through this contract intact and play all the seasons. Then he can ride off into the broadcast booth sunset and build another new house.

Not true. For instance the story of giving his private jet to Abe Elam to go to his fathers funeral, what he did for Josh Brent, Anthony Lynn…..we can talk about how bad of a job he does but he treats his coaches and players well from top to bottom. Doesn’t make him a good guy or anything but it’s just reality.
I think his calling is to be an owner, not a GM.

Probably all of them, especially if they want to compete for anything meaningful. I'm sure DWare was glad he wasn't with the Cowboys as he polished his Super Bowl champ ring.

Would you rather make 30 million and never win anything of note, or make 25 million and win a couple of Super Bowls?
