How many of you believe we can win this year's superbowl...

believe we are winning this years Superbowl?

I was exchanging emails with a friend I hadnt seen since the before draft. While evaluating each of our teams drafts and where they stand it hit me. I'm pretty fricken confident that we are winning it all this year.

Very similar to how I felt prior to the 81-83, 93-96 seasons. We are the best team, we will win the Superbowl. As was the case in those years, my confidence can not be shaken.

So the question stands, are any of you as confident as I am?

I'd especially value any feedback from the readskin trolls.

we didn't win one from 81-83 so i don't know what that's all about. i don't feel like argueing with people by giving my reasons but no i don't think were gonna win the superbowl this upcoming season. i hope they prove me wrong though.

I don't see a reason we can't right now. We are one of the 5 most talented teams in the league. The main thing going against us is that we are in one of the best divisions in football.

I'd say I believe it when I see it. I think this team under year 2 of Wade Phillips may show even less discipline. Romo also has no prven he can win when REAL pressure is on him.

I don't know prob not. I want them to of course but if we couldn't win it last year and we made no improvement on our D-Line ie getting spears off the team. Then i doubt it.

Wow, early responses to this thread surprise me. Of course we've got the talent to win the Super Bowl. So do 4-5 other teams, not including teams from the next tier capable of getting hot at the right time. I'd say we're the clear favorites in the NFC, though.

I disagree obv as i said before i don't think we have it in us. Not because we are bad however i still say that the NFL is rigged. So superbowl this year will be Manning v Manning.

Wait. I was going off the premise that this thing isn't rigged and that you didn't have the answer in advance. Can I change my vote?

That's my feeling as well. We have the talent to win it all, now we just need to stay healthy and not let up.

To me this feels more like the late 60s, when we had the most talent but couldn't seem to win the big one. The difference is that we have our "Staubach" in Romo. We can and should win it all this year.

The only thing that makes me think we might not be able to win it all is the weak mind set of some of our players. Alot of them especially on Defense and Oline tend to fold when it matters most.

The killer instinct is definitely lacking on this team. Talent wise we have one of the best defenses in the league. But it seems that the only guy who consistantly will come up big and make a damn play is Ware. I mean, Williams hasn't had a game changing hit in forever.

Newman is a great player, but he rarely makes that game changing play.

I think offensively we at least have a few guys who will come out and make a game changing play. That woould be Barber, Owens, Romo, etc.

I mean, the playoff loss to NY was pretty much indicative of all that. Look at guys like Crayton who play well when the pressure is off, but then when they have to come up with a play they can't even make the basic plays.

I dont know if we will win or not but if you dont think we have a really good shot at winning it your an idiot.

Dallas has the most talented roster in the NFC. There is no reason not to have superbowl expectations.

Actually I do think we all win it all this year. Last year I never expected us to have a real shot for the SB, but as we kept winning and playing so well my hopes were raised. I just didn't see that, after we came back to beat Detroit with 30 seconds on the board, we'd (Romo) would have such a bad game against the Eagles. Have to admit it's not easy as I had hoped it would be. Disagree with those who say Romo couldn't win the big game. He came back consistently in most games most of the season, a good case being against the Packers which almost had a playoff type atmosphere, yet after being our starting QB for only 1 1/2 years, all of a sudden he "choked". Had about maybe he still has some on the field things to learn. It too Pey Manning how many year, it took Eli Manning how many years, it took Brett Favre how manny years, it took John Elway had many years, it took Troy Aikman how many years. Jeez, I guess it is indeed the "now generation". If you can't get your candy right now, you scream & yell. How about a little patience?

Anyway, I do believe we win it all this year. It just seems so natural--so right that we win it our last season in Texas Stadium & as we move into our new stadium where we can open the season as defending champions. Isn't that the way it was always meant to be?
