That hes going to be a big time player in this league at some point. He has size, speed and good hands. I really like his potentional even more than Crayton. Opinions

Crayton is money, I don't think I have ever seen him drop a ball. Hurd has more speed, showed it during the TD. Only knock on Crayton for me is I think he is going to fumble every time he gets the ball.

Lots of folks see Austin as a diamond in the rough, but Hurd I think is a year ahead of him (?) and that's the reason he's at #4, now #3. He has all the tools, has more range than Crayton, and I think will be on the team for years to come. Not a #1, but a very consistent and capable #2. I'm happy for him tonight - he was in the right place at the right time, and that's what they pay him for...

Sam is Terry's heir apparent. No question about it. We got him on the cheap and his game is a bit different than Terry's obviously, but might be even better suited for this team in the long run.

He's a possession receiver with better than average speed.... TO will be the big play guy while Pat and Sam will eat up underneath yardage with Jason all day long.

I'll admit, when he pulled away on that touchdown, I was pretty impressed. I already knew he had a good pair of hands. I know how hard he works, and I see how he's even turned himself into a factor on special teams. What I hadn't seen until then was the ability run with guys on this level and be more of a big play threat.

I still feel like Crayton played a better night. Hurd's TD was more a result of savvy QB throw and his height than an actual play. He just ran by a crappy coverage.

But I do like that he can play. he and crayton have me less and less worried about glenn everygame.

He had one catch. Yes, it was for a TD, but he'll have to get a lot more involved for me to be impressed.

Crayton, somehow, is always open.

Hurd and Austin were both rookies last year. I think Hurd is going to be a player. I remember reading last year that he was kind of studying under T.O., and I figured that could only be good for him as a football player. Austin is a faster runner, but Hurd looks like a more natural wideout to me.

Yep. I think a lot of people are seeing more on that Hurd TD because of what they want to see from Hurd.

I'm not saying he won't be a play maker, but I can think of 5 offensive plays that impressed me more than a 6'4" WR getting inside position on a shorter CB and going for an easy TD because the Safety was too boneheaded to play deep.

That was more the result of silly defense and savvy QB than an all world WR. But stilly - he was very fluid and soft with his hands.

I forgot. That was a gutsy throw by Romo. Off his back foot with pressure coming, I believe. The kind that can make you love him or cry in your beer.

I don't remember it being off his back foot. I remember thinking it was savvy because he waited an extra second while the safety came off the help to cover the flat. If he doesn't do that, Hurd is covered. He moved his eyes strongside and came back - the safety was not down near the flat. At that point it was just throw it to the tall guy with inside position and you are home free.
