First of all let me say that I have been a Drew Bledsoe fan since he first came into the NFL! With that in mind I am now rooting for the Cowboys to win it all with DB as their qurterback! Of course I do realize that ONE player does not win or loose an NFL game (it takes a team effort to win OR LOOSE!) but the quarterback is the center of attention and ussualy ends up with most of the credit OR the blame for wins and/or losses! with all of that being said I have come up with several questions that I wonder if anyone can answer: first -----how many points has our defense scored this year on turnovers? (NO YOU can't count the ones that the offense scored AFTER the turnover!) second -----how does this rank with the rest of the NFL? third -----how many NFL defenses have allowed at least one tochdown drive in the last say four or five minutes of a game this year?(and of course how many time has DALLAS and how do we rank?) fourth ----and IMO the most important question-----Who really cares as long as the DALLAS COWBOYS WIN? (just WIN baby!)

Yes! I am a fan of NFL football and for many years was a Pats fan---That is why I mentioned right away that I am a Bledsoe fan----I follow my favorite players wherever they play and I find it quite amusing to read these boards and see the different views that are being shared by all of the people that are posting (threads and/or replies) BUT what I find really amusing about the Bledsoe threads that I read are how MOST of the people are on one side or the other as far as Bledsoe is concerned! I think that this team is perhaps the best team (roster) that Bledsoe has been with in his career and I think that the Dallas Cowboys AND Bledsoe can have great success for many years to come!

First off :welcome:

When Drew was drafted I was and have always been a Dallas fan but I have had many different AFC teams I would pull for and the pats where one of them. I liked Drew then and have always thought he was a great QB. I quit pulling for the Pats when they hired Bill Belichick from the Jets. I hated the way that went down and thought it was classless of him. The Jets promote him to HC then he leaves a few days later for the Pats.

As for scoring D I'm not real sure

To answer your question the Cowboys have scored ZERO points via defensive turnover, thus far.

Welcome to the board.

there are really very few D touchdowns scored every year. You hear about all of them, but there are not that many. No D gets more then a few a year at best.

BB wanted full control of the Jets if BP stepped down which BP had, it was even written in his contract from what I understand. BP stepped down from coaching and expected to have full control of the team but BP wanted to remain as GM. That didnt fly with BB and he from what I understand gave the Jets the opportunity to honor his contract, they wouldnt and the rest is history.

Great, first we have Petitti's dad, and now Bledsoe's Mom.

The Commanders have an equal ZERO.

Hope that makes up for it. haha

For a Commander, you are pretty good guy. Whats funny is my best friend is a die hard Skins fan.

Funny story when we were young teenagers we were out back playing some football. He outweighed me by about 100lbs.

This was when Herschel Walker and Dexter Manley were both still prominent Cowboys and Commanders.

I kept running by him (I was way faster) and saying Herschel scores again.

Just one time I got a little to close to him and with his quickness which he was pretty quick for a big guy, he absolutely nailed me to the hard ground littered with rocks and gravel.

As I am laying on the ground he yelled "CHOPPED DOWN BY DEXTER MANLEY"

We still laugh about this all the time. I am still surprised he did break any of my bones when he did this! LOL

Almost spit out my beer. Thats awesome. I think we all did that as kids, same thing playing basketball. As a kid I was the smaller guy (things sure have changed), so I would be Joe Washington or Mike Nelms, my buddies would be Randy White or Too Tall. Talk about an unfair advantage.

Wow. The defense isn't scoring enough.....

Dallas is 7th in total defense (in spite of 3 straight weeks of playing the NFL's best offenses), 1st in TOP (the D deserves a great deal of credit for this), 9th in takeaways, 5th in sacks, and 10th in points allowed. Most NFL teams would love to have Dallas' D. If the offense had made one meaningful play in the 2nd half Sunday, Dallas would have won. If you didn't notice, the D made several big plays, but it still wasn't enough.

Other than figure out the final 4 minutes of the game, the D's been sensational. The O, on the other hand, has been so-so, as has been the kicking. If the kicker and offense hold up their end as consistently as the defense has, Dallas would maybe be 6-1.

It's not entirely Bledsoe's fault they lost Sunday, but he didn't play well and should shoulder some of the blame.

I'm back again! When I started this thread I did it more in response to the "Bledsoe bashing" and NOT the lack of great defensive play (most of the time!) that the Cowboys have played. The bottom line is that I HOPE and EXPECT that the team will make the playoffs and hopefully go deep into the playoffs with Bledsoe for several years to come! As far as the post referring to me as "Drew Bledsoe's mom" I have to say NO to that one and state that this is the kind of response I would expect from a small child or someone with poor manners!

Bawahah!

You came in as a Bledsoe Apologist asking questions clearly aimed at pointing fingers at our D for not scoring points on turnovers.

When the fact is the D is getting the ball but the O stalls with it.

The O headed by Bledsoe.

the defense is giving the O lots of opportunities with turnovers and good field position. The offense has not taken advantage of it. We win as a team, we lose a s a team but the offense did look pretty ugly last week.
