How Many Sacks For Ware?

I think people are really counting their chickens before they hatch with the secondary.

It wil be improved, but enough to make a huge difference in the sack department for ware?

I'm seeing an increase in interceptions over an increase in sacks.

Mo probably won't be an upgrade over Newman for the 1st half of the season, Jenkins will take awhile to get back into playing shape, and im sure he's very rusty as well. Carr will be a solid CB, and scandrick....well, it's scandrick

Are you serious? :laugh2:

Newman was one of the worst corners in the league last season. Mo will definitely be an upgrade.

Which could put him into the top-15-20 all-time depending on what Jared Allen and John Abraham and Dwight Freeney do. Pretty neat-o.

i'm hoping for 21 sacks, but if he gets, say, 18 i'll be happy with that.

SMH people if you don't like the thread don't post in it.

I never understood that.

You would think they were forced at gunpoint to open it, much less post in it.

Ware will not lead the team in sacks in 2012. I will go with 9.
Just curious why you are making such a definitive statement of Ware will not lead the team in sacks and why only 9.

I think we'll get more evenly distributed production this year, so I think we'll see a slight decline in Ware's statistical performance. I think the quality of his play will remain high, but I think the secondary changes are likely to have a bigger impact on Spencer's performance than Ware's.

13 from Ware
10 from Spencer

You're probably wrong about that, but hey. Aren't we all most of the time?

I think the more interesting question might be to give a range: what's your worst-case scenario vs. the most aggressive you can imagine?

The natural volatility of football can always surprise you - in both directions.

he's gonna get sacks, who cares about the number.

I hope he learns to focus and NOT line up offsides or jump the gun and cost the Cowboys important yards/downs/turnovers.

So, what about Ware's sack of Drew Brees to seal the game when the Cowboys defeated the undefeated Saints 24-17 in the Superdome?

What about Ware's sack of Aaron Rodgers on 3rd down in the fourth quarter of the 2007 Cowboys-Packers game when the Cowboys led only 27-24 at the time?

those were 3 and 5 years ago.

He has 99.5 on his career, which puts him at 29th on the all time list.

Where do you think he'll finally end up all-time? All of the top guys played 10+ seasons and until well into their 30's and Ware is still only 29. Think he could make into the top 5 if he plays 4 more seasons?
