Same as me. 43 years. So you started watching when Landry was having trouble deciding between Staubach and Morton. I remember those years. They finally win the Super Bowl with Staubach and we thought that cemented it. However, Staubach got hurt the next year and Morton started and played well most of the time. Then when the Cowboys fell way behind in the '72 playoff game against the 49ers and Staubach came off the bench to win it, that finally settled it once and for all. It was bye-bye, Morton. The team traded him for a 1st-round draft pick and then used that pick to draft none other than Randy White.

Since 1976. Pat Summerall and Tom Brookshier's CBS casts virtually every Sunday hooked me. What a golden era. Brookshier was hysterical. Im still getting over the Ice Bowl in Green Bay.

 I wanna say something soooooo bad! Political so I can't.

I know.

For the record it was '71 for me so I guess that is 43 years. I still remember how mad I was because by the time we got home from church it was 12:30 or later.

That 72 playoff game was the day I became a Cowboy fan at age 7. Something about Roger and the Star...

Guessing 37-38 years. Started watching football around 7-8 years old. I don't recall a first game. Just remember having a #12 cowboys shirt and arguing with eagles fans at school in 3rd grade. :D

The Astros drew me in to loving sports in general as a 5 yr old. I'll never forget the heartbreak of the NLCS in 86. Then football was thrown at me in 88. I remember how bad we were. I still remember that stomping we took in 91 and then the best dynasty in sports in my era surfaced!! Been through too much with this team to ever turn back.

My first Cowboys memories were from the 1991 season....so I'd say 23 years. A fortunate time to start; Cowboys fans not much younger than me have no real memories of a Super Bowl championship.
