How to actually build through the draft

If the Cowboys are serious about building through the draft they should need way more aggressive trading players for draft capital. In most circumstances a team should know if they want to pay a player after three years. I would respect the Jones “hardline” negotiation if they had their number, and traded players they couldn’t get to accept that number. Not saying they can’t negotiate at all, but if they are a great ways apart then start fielding trade offers. When is the last time the Cowboys won a holdout situation? Was Dak asking for $65 million or something?

Philly is blueprint for how to manage and run a team. Sign FA's with potential, they do well, and you trade them for premium picks afterwards and then hitting with those picks on top of it. Howie is incredible.
