In light of recent and ongoing events, I'm interested to get a feel for how others feel about the way this team handles injuries to its' players?

Do you feel they're too cautious and keep guys out too long for minor issues?

Do you feel like they rush guys back into the field and should give them more time to heal up?

Or do you think that they handle them exactly as they should and the amount of time they give is appropriate?

I think based on our lack of depth you have to ginger step all this stuff. Especially with the veterans. If we had more of a complete team and we werent so top heavy on our roster I would like to see harder and more disciplined practices. But I always think its foolish to over play older veterans.

You need to add the poorly option.
Agreed. Every injury is different, so it's hard to say they are too cautious or not cautious enough. The only thing we can say for sure is that there seems to be a lot of bungled injuries--where things linger and turn out to be much worse than expected. Of course, that could be part of the misinformation agenda.

Both Romo and Dez where brought back too early last year. I think that has made the FO justifiably cautious during preseason.

I think the team does about as good as any other team. Some injuries are tough to heal 100% without complete rest. The problem is, you can't ready for a season and do the complete rest thing at the same time, so the injuries tend to linger, fine for a few games then sore.. then repeat,, etc.

Yes, they returned too early, in retrospect.
The doctors knew it, the FO knew it, and so did the players. But they all agreed to take a calculated risk to save the season.

They'd probably all agree to do it again, and without certain unfortunate contact, they might succeed.

Fact is, we have no idea how they handle injuries, since we aren't aware of many of the specific details of the injury and its progress.

I'm more focused on how they handle prevention of injuries. Specifically, groin and hamstring. It seems we have A LOT.

Maybe it's in line with the league average. I'm not sure.
