I'd have a strongly negative reaction to a Vikings loss for this reason -- it represents the beginning of a death spiral for the team's season. So far the Cowboys have managed to beat all the clearly inferior teams they've played. Losing to an inferior opponent in addition to what I expect will be losses to all the superior opponents would not be good.

Why is Gruden held in such high regard? Didn't he take a Tampa Bay team that Tony Dungy built, win a SB because he had inside information on the Raiders' schemes and play calls, and then proceed to slide into mediocrity directly after?
