How would you rank our chances of getting to the Super Bowl?

Okay, I know I'm jumping the gun. But, hey, shoot me. We're in the playoffs so it's not like I'm totally getting ahead of myself.

But I did want to ask this question. From a percentage standpoint, how would you rank our chances of getting to the Super Bowl?

I'd put us at 90 percent.
In the previous season with this team, I wasn't too confident in our chances to get to the Super Bowl, even in 2007. I just didn't trust the coaching staff at that time.

But this year feels different. I don't know if I'm completely on the bandwagon for Garrett, but I do like the approach to the run. I have major confidence in the offensive line, and Romo and Witten seem to have that steely resolve that they're determine not to blow this chance. I think the Cowboys may be a bit more desperate than the Packers (who've been there) and the Seahawks (ditto). And they have a style of play that succeeds during the playoffs.

So I put our chances high.

What say ye?

Better than some not as good as others? Dallas is extremely hot heading into post season and in my view that matters a lot and gives them a legit chance.

We're playing good football right now. We will probably have a murderers row of games to get there with the likely path being Wild Card vs DET, DIV Round @ GB, NFC CHAMP @ SEA. I'm just excited to see what happens and if we play our style of football we can beat anyone, anywhere.

Tough to say because this has been a very wacky year in general.

For instance, typically 4 teams with losing records from the previous season make the playoffs. This year it looks like we will have 2 at the most (Detroit and Atlanta). Meanwhile there is typically only 4 division winners that return to the postseason. This season there may be 7 (New England, Denver, Cincinnati, Indianapolis, Green Bay, Seattle and Carolina).

We also have a division where the winner will not finish better than .500 (NFC South)

3 divisions in the AFC have 3 teams that are better than .500 right now.

Typically, I wouldn't be overly high on the Cowboys. They remind me of the 2005 Broncos where they ran the ball great, but had a suspect defense. Went 13-3 and had a great season from Jake Plummer, but then lost in the playoffs.

The potential is to be more like the 1997 Broncos which had a suspect defense...but scored a lot of points and ran for a ton of yards and went 12-4 and on to win the Super Bowl.

I tend to think this is a team that could go to the NFC Championship game. I'm most concerned with the Packers (3-4 scheme and Rodgers) or if we get the Seahawks at Seattle again.

Looks like to get to the SB we will have to win at Green Bay and at Seattle, assuming we win the WC. Brutal.

Realistically, probably a 1 in 4 chance. If we had a bye, I'd say 1 in 2.

I'd love to meet the Patriots in the SB. That would be a great game.

We win the wild card then if we play Green Bay in Green Bay, we pay for an average defense and get crushed. No way do I want to play Green Bay in their house.

I can see us beating any team in the tournament except for GB.

Not saying I would give up if we somehow get stuck playing GB, but ideally I would want to be able to avoid them. However, I just do not think that's possible.

Actually... I take that back. If they playoffs started with the same seed order as it stands today, I would say the stars would have aligned for us.

Beat AZ at home, beat DET on the road, let SEA take care of GB, and then beat SEA

I like our chances against anyone. Especially if the defense keeps up the level of play we've seen in the last month. Outside of garbage time against Chicago and a couple blown assignments in Philly the defense has been outstanding, the Dline has come alive and harassed the last 3 QBs we've played.

If we had the 1 or 2 seed I'd say our chances are very good.

Our road to the Super Bowl is really difficult so I don't think we'll make it but I believe we're the best team in the NFC right now.

My view is that there are two teams, ONLY two that really make me pause.

Green Bay, only because of our lack of pass rush.
Seattle, only because they seem to be as hot as we are right now.

None of the others scare me much.

If we stay healthy, I think we have as good a chance as Seattle and GB. But we'll need to run the gauntlet of three games. If we lose a single major player ... we're done.
