He is in the process of buying a poodle. Like Roy Williams just before he turned soft.
not disagreeing with the positive reports, but will add he is not close to the same level of play Sean Lee puts out, not even in the same game, not even the same universe, not even the same cosmos. He is probably 93 billion light years apart from Sean Lee, but other than that he is doing great.
People get mad but I have to agree. The Sean Lee comparisons are riduclous. He is in the process of buying a poodle. Like Roy Williams just before he turned soft.

smith is starting to play better but still needs work. he is better in his last four games then in the previous twelve. I thought the rams and packers games were the worst he was one of the reasons why the defense gave up so many rushing yards in those two games.
He's playing about 1/3rd of the snaps. Really good in coverage. Understands route concepts and what the opposing offense is trying to do. Still has issues in the run game, but is closing the gap. Not as hesitant in the run game as he once was. I'm not exactly confident in him as a starter, but he's progressing very nicely and at times looks excellent.

LolThe Cowboys' trainers have said Jaylon will be even better next year when he's 100 percent. Add in the improvements he's already making as far as recognizing his assignments; etc. and it looks like Dallas' big gamble is going to pay off.
His first year didn't count because he was on NFI.
This is the 1st year of his 4 year contract.
Lol
Hoping he’ll be a league average LB in his third year != gamble paying off
By the time this dude becomes a starting caliber LB (if ever), he’ll be a free agent.

Getting a solid starter that you want to try and resign is a successful 2nd round pick. Half of 2nd round picks bust.
He is extremely far from being a solid starter right now. In fact, he is as far away as anyone on the roster from earning that distinction.

For any tape-watchers, etc...how has Jaylon been playing lately? Are there things he's doing well, are there concerns for the player he will become, do we still really have no idea due to the injury?
With LB such a concern this year, and with Hitch a FA and Lee a year older, I'm curious how much he's a part of the solution going forward.
I have no clue, so looking for some informed opinions. Thanks.
Excellent!? I am absolutely shocked that anyone would think he has ever had stretches of excellent play. Befuddled.
Did you read the article? That is uncertain because he was paid. Jerry has the right to not grant him a year of service time but it's not like the mediots have ever known what questions to ask really at any point.
