If you were the GM and the Skins were the only team to approach you about a trade for Crayton, what would it take for you to consider the trade to an in division rival that has an obvious gap at the WR position?

4th

I feel like the Cowboys are intent on getting rid of Crayton, I'd take something of value rather than just cut him.

within the division the asking price should be higher. For washington it would take a 3rd rounder for me to trade Crayton.

That is what I was thinking as well. Losing a first day pick would slowdown Shanny's rebuilding process and we would get a good pick for a player who has reached his ceiling.

what about a 4th/conditional 3rd?

I would probably do that. But I get feeling Crayton would be a cowboy killer almost immediately. McNabb loves WR who run those intermediate patterns accross the field and crayton would have huge chip on his shoulder to prove he was better than Dallas thought all along.

As BAD as the skins are I'd take a 4th and RUN with it.....because when they win about 4 games it'll be like a 3rd rounder anyway. (same with the Bears, who want him badly) I don't think he'd yield a 3rd rounder from anyone...but that's why JJ is trying, because you never know.

I agree. Beyond that I have no problem trading him to any team.

They're dumb enough to do that too, anyone remember Brandon Lloyd? :lmao2:

IIRC :they dont have a 3rd and a 4th this year due to the McNabb and Jamal Brown trades.

Really? The Bears are willing to trade for him? Garrett's system supposedly has similarities to Martz's and the Bears could use solid receiving help, so it makes sense they would be interested. But where did you hear they have interest and how much interest?

Heck no. He's an ex-quarterback, and he knows our offense too well. Might as well let them have Jason Garrett.

I'd trade Crayton straight up for Ty Law. It's coming. Over the hills and through the clouds. It's a comin'.

I don't know why Dallas is so intent on ditching Crayton.

Money should not be the issue. If Jerry can burn 9M for TO to play in Buffalo and 9M for Roy to underwhelm in Dallas, I don't see how he can't pay Crayton's salary for his reliable services.

Eh. No deal.

I'm one of the few people around here that can plainly see Crayton's value to this team and would not be willing to part with him and his clutch 3rd down conversions and chemistry with Romo. Not to mention him being a very good punt returner.

i don't think this has anything to do with money or personal feelings ... the cowboys seem to have made the decision to only keep 5 wr's ... which i feel is the correct decision ... so that means your #5 wr is going to have to be a special teams guy like hurd or holley ... that means the decision is who is going to be the #4 wr either ogletree or crayton ... i'm not willing and neither are the cowboys willing to give up on the potential that they have in ogletree for 1 more yr from a 34 yr old crayton ... who at this point would be nothing more than an insurance policy for someone being injured ... this decision is more about the cowboys deciding on their future vs. just this season ... crayton has no future here but ogletree does

He just turned 31. And with Austin and Dez, otree will likely never take a role more involved than pat, if he even pulls his crap together.

still don't want him ... the #4 receiver on this team won't have much of a roll anyway so the spot might as well go to someone who has a lot more potential

it's funny because i remember last year when people saw ogletree play they couldn't shut up about him and how they thought he should take roy williams starting position and now all of a sudden people want to toss him aside so we can keep crayton for 1 more year

I think he would have a decent role no matter where he is listed.

He has Romo's trust and that matters a lot more than where he's at on the depth chart.

As far as O-Tree taking Roy's spot. I think most of that had to do with the fact that Roy sucked last year. Anyone taking Roy's spot would have been good, which is probably why his playing time decreased towards the end of the season.
