I actually thought Jacques Reeves played pretty well....

Honestly, I liked what I saw from Reeves. Other than one play, I like that he turns his head and plays the ball. Plaxico has repeatedly beat all our corners not named Terrence Newman, and all things considered, I liked what I saw from Reeves.

He played a little off some, which I think was as much the call, but I think sometimes people forget that the other guy gets paid too. I was actually encouraged by some of the things he did.

Now if we can just get this pass rush that we were promised....

You could see how scared Reeves was out there. He gave so much cushion that Plax just did whatever he wanted. Reeves did make a nice play on the one play in the end zone, but as Madden said, if the ball had been placed better, that would've been a TD too.

I don't think that the DB makes the decision on their cushion.

That is the coverage call, whether made by the safety or the defensive coordinator.

I thought Reeves did pretty good tonight also. He's not Newman, but I'm glad we have him on the team.

The giants, and Eli, are not a bad offensive team. Don't forget they made the playoffs 2 years straight. And it was not on the strength of their defense.

I think we expected worse - I know I did, but I can see now why we cut Aaron Glenn. He was servicable, and I like that he plays the ball, turns his head.

Look - Burress is going to get his, and not all that he got was on Reeves. The safeties didn't do us many favors tonight.

I'm not saying I'm comfortable with him as a long term starter, but I think he probably holds up better under some other situations. I feel like Burress was going to get his no matter who was in front of him.

In my opinion, Reeves did well as a starter. While he did not shutdown Plaxico, he did manage to play Plaxico well enough that Manning went away from him at times and instead went to the rook from USC. The coaches, of course, were playing mind games with each other. So, while Reeves played far from a great game (A), I think he did well enough to deserve a B, B-.

we really need Newman to comeback healthy! So Reeves can go back to guarding in the nickel. although well honestly Henry played like crap too so i guess compared to him i will give Reeves credit!
