So everyone is proud of the Cowboys for losing yet another do or die game to a team they beat by two touchdowns on the road earlier in the season? Really?

What's happened to us?

Mediocrity my friend. The guys and gals that weren't around for the 90's don't know any better other then that.

It's not. But they played way better than most expected and that is impressive. Holloman was playing the Mike because they had no one else to play due to injuries. He had never ever played the Mike and was a safety/spur. They were scoring roughly 30 a game. I get the point about the effort but I don't discount it either. They not only fought the entire game but came close to beating them.

It's impressive because people stupidly had low expectations? That's not impressive to me in the least, and I guess I am in the minority as I fully expected good effort. And coming close to beating them isn't impressive either. They aren't that good, and they should have beat them. Blowing them out would be impressive, nothing else.

Gee, I guess we are just a shell of our former selves, or maybe a shell of that team that hung the two td's on them earlier in the year? Nah, that can't be it!

BTW, Garrett's record against teams the second time around in a season is utterly pathetic from what I remember...

Oh God, why is it such a big deal that a team playing at home in a win or go home game, decided to play hard? What is so special about that? I keep hearing this repeated on the radio today.

You want to see something impressive? Chiefs have NOTHING to play for, they bench 19 of 21 starters, yet still take the Chargers to the brink on the road. Now THAT is impressive. Nothing about last night's effort was out of ordinary.

Garrett groupies have nothing of substance to support his cause and their blind worship so they come up with fluff like "the team played hard" or " he hasn't lost the team" or "the players like him"

Gee, the only difference between the two games was turnovers, and those seem to occur in do or die games under Garrett regardless of who's playing quarterback.

Oh, and by the way, for the first Eagles game, we were missing Ware and Murray.

After one quarter last night, we were still missing Murray!:)

It is this type of attitude from fans that Jerry is counting on to continue this road to nowhere

And yet the Cowboys will still be your team. Why? Because they always have been. I find it hilarious that many in here are ball whining about JG, Jerry, the Cowboys as a whole; talking like they are about to boycott the team - yet they will show up AT A COWBOYS FORUM to talk COWBOYS (good or bad); and they will watch again next season. lol You guys crack me up. Y'all are no better than the happy fans/glass is half full crowd.

Here's an idea... join T-RO and jump ship. T-RO said he was about to find a new team just last night.

Most would call the Giants season an epic disaster and the finished only one game behind Dallas. Let that sink in.

and we beat them twice, had we lost just once to them......

Wow guys getting paid millions of dollars in a win or go home game play hard and you are excited and ready to give carrot top another shot? Is that how bad it has gotten? That losses mean nothing but as long as he tried hard. Wow take this back to the pee wee football fields. This is professional sports. Where the bottom line is wins and losses. But it sounds like you want to give our participation ribbons. Yay!!

When I heard JG was probably returning, I was ready to give up on the Cowboys ever being what I hope they will be - champions. I have a LOT of reservations about his abilities as HC, but I'm going to give him one more year. Why? Because the team fought a good fight last night. They never gave up, and almost pulled off a big upset. The guys didn't quit, and therefore I won't quit on them either. I'm proud of the way they played tough, fighting for extra yards, making a great goalline stand, etc. We have no reason to hang our heads down. We gave it our best shot. Now I can only hope the Egirls get annihilated by the Saints...

This statement is always true: You already quit when you 1st contemplated quitting and you are not really a Cowboys fan.

So he is 3 years into his "rebuild" plan and we go into year 4 about 30mil over the cap after 24-24 in the first 3 years.. Looking good..looking real good. If we had been 8-8 for 3 years and we were hitting year 4 with 30mil in surplus I would say great job..but no

I don't think I'll ever give up on this team. I will however not be so optimistic if out of our first 5 picks, 4 aren't two pass rushers and two DTs. Look at the panthers defense. Front 7 all the way and DBS that play tight since they know they'll get pressure.

Given some of the past performances of that defense and considering the personnel in the game some playing a position of the first time in a game then yeah, I worried they might not perform well. If you expected the performance we saw which was pretty good against the #2 offense in the league then Salute!

I'm not talking about their effort either. That's been there all year no matter who they put in there with maybe the exception of Carter. You are way in the minority for thinking that defense would play that good of a game.

They had Claiborne back which, to anyone paying attention, was going to be a significant difference. And considering earlier performances, they held the same team to 3 pts. Lee was gone yes, but Ware was back (of sorts). 24 points is not a great defensive performance, it was decent, so it shouldn't be too difficult to expect that.
