I am not in to conspiracy theories, but what is up with officiating?

Our receivers are getting mugged right infront of the refs, facemasks not getting called, getting body slammed to the ground, getting pushed, shoved, and even slapped in the helmet after the plays, ect.....

AND NO FLAGS:huh:

Seriously, did Jerry not let Blandino get lap dances in the party bus this year so this is payback?

I know all fan bases complain about the refs and all that jazz... even I have before but man... after that flag got picked up against Detroit it feels like we get the shaft a lot now.

However... I watched that Texans Vs Raiders game and I thought the Texans got majorly hosed too, might just be the league as a whole... refs just suck.

Bad refs are bad. It's as simple as that. You can look all across the league and see inconsistent calls, on the same penalties, from the same referees. Something that isn't a penalty with one crew might be a penalty with another. Some referees are quick with the flag and we complain about that. Some have it stitched into their belt and we complain about that.

The bottom line is until the league A. stops changing the rules every year and wanting "emphasis" on certain violations, and B. start punishing referees for doing bad jobs, nothing is going to change.

I was listening to the Commanders station cause thats all I could get and they [Sam Huff and Sonny Jurgensen] were
having the same complaint. The calling favored the Cowboys!

How do you coach a DB in this league
One game if you touch a receiver after 5 yards you're going to get flagged the next you can get mugged all the way down the field.
Consistency Boys in stripes that's all I ask

Oh yeah I'll lighten up on the holding calls we know you could call him on every play if you wanted to just be fair about it.

It's a human element, of course there's gonna be mistakes. With HD, instant replay, TV announcers and a million camera angles today we're seeing everything.
if the NFL would use the technology along with the refs on the field we'd get a better officiated game BUT games would take forever.

being a ref isnt as easy as it looks, and they dont always have the right angle to see what we see on camera.
or they may not be looking at the area the fowl occurs when it happens.

The officiating in general is horrible and I would submit is another reason for the NFLs failing ratings. Seems to me that the complaints about the refereeing is at an all time high the last couple of years.

I think the amount of penalties called hurts the flow of the game and probably doesn't help ratings. However, it seemed like today swung too far the other way and they weren't calling blatant penalties on both sides.

I'd take this game's referee crew over a ton of them. Overall, they let the teams play ball and didn't bog down the momentum with too many ticky-tacky calls. I mean, I don't believe there was a single penalty flag on any of the KR/PRs! That's not common. Yeah, they missed some calls for us, but they also missed some against us. Please give us this crew in the Playoffs!

Wont sit here & whine about the referees but I think they must hate Cole Beasley, since they seem to look the other way, when he's having his helmet ripped around his head via the facemask.

These sorry refs are going to get someone (else) hurt. Romo suffered many roughing the passer type hits with no flags. I blame the refs for many of his injuries. When a defender doesn't hear whistles on obvious infractions, it encourages them to push the envelope. Who could forget Cole Beastly almost getting his head torn off with no flags last game? He could have been paralyzed on that play.

Jerry needs to put public pressure on Goodell to clean this mess up before someone loses their career to injury due to these sorry refs.

The team that wins the coin toss should have the option of choosing the ref level for the game.

Would you like:
Tight calls
Blatant calls, or
No calls?

Set the level at the start and keep it consistent.

Team that loses the coin toss gets to choose if the challenge cameras are active.

It's one thing if it's a 50-50 type of call but how can they not call Bease getting his face mask pulled and head whacked on the same play? Even the Deadskins DB was shocked it wasn't called.

Exactly.

Its one thing to not call holds or PI under the guise of "let um play", but poor Beasly is getting his helmet/head dam near twisted around like its a scene from the Exorcist and the refs let that go?
