Honestly, (providing we stay healthy - knock on wood) I just don't see how teams are going to be able to stop us this year.

Take our D, for example. Tank, ZT, BJ - they've got the middle locked up so teams aren't going to gash us up the middle. Then you take the speed and power of the outer rim of the front 7. That shuts down the running game. Then, opponents, falling behind because our offense will be scoring TDs left and right, are forced to throw the ball.

That's where things get really exciting!! Look at what most opposing QBs will be facing this season. Their team is 2-3 TDs behind and forced to throw. Our pass rush is going to eat their QBs alive, not only because of Ware, Ellis, Spencer, Ratliff, Hatcher, Tank, and the occasional exotic blitz - but QBs aren't going to have anywhere to throw the ball. We have at least 3 shutdown CBs, with Henry more than holding his own against bigger WRs and TEs, and Scandrick, who is no slouch, I promise you.

Man, tell me I'm dreaming. This team has the potential to be equal, if not better than the 1992 Cowboys. I'm being serious.

I'll never understand the glowing praise the ZT signing got. Yeah, he's a future HOF LB. He's also played almost his entire career in a 4-3 scheme, is a concussion waiting to happen, and is horribly undersized for the position we are having him play.

Had we signewd him 5 years ago, I could understand. We're not getting All-Pro Zach Thomas, though. We're getting mid-life crisis injury plagued Zach Thomas.

Everyone who's ever coached him says he plays much bigger than he is. He's got the experience to help the other guys and the dude has a motor. Let's also mention he's a great role model on and off the field.

Injury plagued? :lmao2: Little over the top, don't you think?

Relax. ZT is as smart as they come. The design of the D will allow him to freely flow to the ball. As far as health concerns, as far as everything I've read, there hasn't been a single issue since we acquired him. According to ZT, the concussion thing has been overly exaggerated. His main health issues last year were headaches related to (forgive me if I misname this) septum problems that have since been treated.

Look for big things and lots of tackles from ZT.

Let's not completely dismiss this signing. Zach only adds talent and depth to an already loaded defense. Also, he's been horribly undersized his entire career, and still has been to Pro Bowl after Pro Bowl.

People who know me know how I am usually reserved about this stuff. But I haven't seen anything to suggest that players are not giving 110% effort. We've got a great balance of youth, character, and veteran leadership. And, oh yet, we have buttloads of talent. I decided recently that there no point in hiding the homer side of my fandom. This season is to be relished, because it's going to be a special one!!:starspin

I'm not dismissing it, just not going to lose my mind over it.

5'11" isnt horribly undersized in a 4-3 scheme. The average starting MLB on a 4-3 defense is 6'1". The average starting MLB among teams that run a 3-4 is 6'3".

Yeah but I guy like him is the exception. Like the guy smaller than Thomas who shined in Wade's 3-4 in San Diego. And he was still playing at a VERY high level when he went out last season. Most guys his age have slowed down quite a bit by now..but there are exceptions....like him and TO. I think he's going to have a very good season.

You'll have a better understanding as the season goes along. The man is a hittin machine, extremely intellegent, a leader, experienced, a PRO'S PRO, and doesnt have to carry the load on this talented defense. Just sit back and admire his work and the season..

Well according to the feedback we getting so far, he sure is making some tackles, holding his ground and correctedly diagnosing plays before our offense can make anything happen. But some people need to see to believe. So you aren't going to be afraid to watch this season and see how good or how bad ZT plays, will you? Sould be real interesting.

This team is S-T-A-C-K-E-D.

As Deep as any team we've ever had including the 92 team.

If our D is NOT in the Top 3 this year - Then they should all be fired. The Defensive line is ridiculous, as our the LB's and the CB's... Our ENTIRE D should be going to the pro-bowl if they play like they are capable.

I do not see how we give up more than 13-17 point per game - TOPS!

What this means is that we should win an awful lot of games.

We really do have it all.

As long as Romo & TO stay relatively healthy - i think we are on our way back to the playoffs.

What counts for me is this year. With the depth we have at CB and RB, we are going to be even better in 2008. In the meantime, you should worry that team you root for where players drop over like flies :D .

I cannot wait to see how Adam Jones and the secondary meshes together. I think we'll suffocate opponents passing games.

You prefer that we would have stayed with Akin Ayodele?
