Ok, I am slowly getting back in the groove of things and I am not as upset as I was the last couple of weeks.
One thing I came to realize. The reason I was so upset after the Seattle loss was because of my High expectations for the team.
These High expectations came as a result of eating all that cheese. (to borrow a phrase from our departed coach) Yes, after reading story after story from different media outlets. Telling me what a good D we have, what a good team we have, what a good coach we had and that we were on our way to the playoffs and the Superbowl. I fell for it all. I ate the cheese and got caught in the trap!
The internet can be a plus. I have unlimited resources to read about my team, the Dallas Cowboys.
The internet can also be a minus. I believed all the hoopla, so I allowed my expectations of the team to get so high, only to be let down. It was very hard to get over this dissapointing season.
I kinda miss the good old days, when you only got a story or two in the local newspaper. So, you didn't know what to expect from the team. You just had to wait in anticipation. The loses were hard to take back then too, but you didn't have all these reporters feeding you any cheese.
