This team has had the same lack of focus for 10 years + now. What is the common theme in the organization throughout those years? Jerry Jones, that's what. Football is not the primary focus with this organization. It's always intermingled with marketing and his interaction with the players. Until Jerry completely gets out of the football side of this franchise, we will continue as a rudderless ship on the way to nowhere like we are now. And that's the TRUTH.

Man, losing sucks, I agree. But who are we blaming next? An accountant in the team's merchandising dept? Anyone that wants to put this on Jerry needs their head examined. Jerry wants this team to win more than anyone. And yes, even more than us...

There is no owner in the NFL that I would rather have than Jerry or the Jones family!

And that's why he needs to decide to get away from the football side completely. Owners should not have their own radio shows. Owners should not be signing players independent of their own scouting dept. He is not creating an atmosphere at Valley Ranch conducive to focusing on football only and we see the results of this on the field with silly mistakes that cost us games. I just wonder why Parcells puts up with this. It must be the money, because their is no way he would have put up with this when he was with the Giants, Pats or Jets.

REEEEEEEEAAAAAAACCCCCHHHIIIIIINGG. I think everyone should take a couple days away, even the fans. You're looking for answers, you're looking for someone to blame right now. The loss hurts. EVERYONE from Jerry on down to the 53rd player is to blame.

Nonsense. This man has spent millions the last 2 years on free agents and draft choices, and IMO hasn't gooten a great return on his investments. Everyone wanted jerry to hire a strong willed coach, he did. He gave parcells control of just about everything, and the results are still mediorce. The problem isn't jones, it's this conservative, vanilla, let's make no adjustments coaching staff. Parcells can't leave soon enough for me. Only our coaching staff can find a way to hold owens too 2 cacthes with a makeshift seattle secondary. If the seachickens end up playing the saints, sean payton will go right for the kill and exploit their shortcomings.

Bad ownership is the Fords in Detroit. That dolt Snyder in DC. That petulant spendthrift Wilson in Buffalo. Whoever owns the Raiders.

We've got a guy who's focused on football, wants to win, and doesn't mind spending money to get there, of which he has plenty. Hell, we have a billion dollar stadium being built that he negotiated and threw down a hefty chunk of cash on, which is already the envy of the league.

Does he sometimes do irritating things, yes. And, he can be a little meddlesome. But he also does a lot of good, and after reading up on other teams' ownership trust me, it could be A LOT worse.

JJ is not going anywhere. Why do people continue to call for his head when IT IS NOT HIM for any failures. Do you think he is going to step aside because a few fans say he is the problem. That is as bad as all the fair weather fans saying....I use to like the Cowboys until they fired Landry the way they did....

When your owner is the GM of your football team your in trouble. I love Jerry's passion, but he has NO buisness being a GM in the NFL. NONE whatsoever.

Why not. People say things, but never give a reason as to why they make their statements.
He knows more about football than most people on this board. He's played the game, onwed the team since 89, so I think he knows what he is doing. He's been around it 24/7 since he bought the team. Spends money for FA to try to improve the team like no other owner does.
Do you want Bidwell for an owner?

This just kills me every time I hear Jones is more concerned w/marketing, making money, yada, yada, yada.

Not a marketing genius here. I don't even have a degree. I've got one question for you. What is the best way to market and make money on the Dallas Cowboys or any other sports franchise that is? Win, win, and win some more. Especially the Super Bowl. Especially if it's the teams the nation loves or loves to hate. Winning is the ultimate way to market your team. It goes hand in hand for Jones. He's smart enough to know if he puts a winning product on the field he's gonna reap the Benjamins.
