I won't lie to you, I was nervous about his game. Cleveland was a very good football team last year and this was in their house. The time of possession, the fact we only had the ball 8 times, and the yardage we racked up just thrill me.

Basically the only real negatives are the 11 penalties, no takeaways, and 1 INT. I'd like to see more sacks on our ledger, but the fact we didn't give up any with a backup lineman is fantastic.

Other than that early drive our defense was solid.

On Offense - I feel like we are back to 92-95 pick your poison. We are dominant there.

I agree. It wasn't a perfect game but it was also the first game of the season. There are plenty of positives and some negatives, but nothing that can't be worked out.

unfortunately, penalties can't be worked out for us. we say this every year, and every year we are one of the most penalized teams. the team has tons of talent(most in the league), but just may be one of the dumbest teams as well.

Too add: If not for the Browns LONG 1st drive (almost 12 mins).... their TOTAL TOP may have been under 20 mins.

This was a good first game.

I too was worried....but then again, I always am.

This reminds me of our season opener three years ago vs the Chargers.

We opened against a very good football team on the road.

We eeked out a victory then.

This time we dominated.

Honestly, this felt like 1993. We drove up the field at will. Taking up chunks of yardage at a time. The Browns had little opportunity due to the length of time we possessed the ball. After the Browns last score we got the ball with a ton of time left. They knew we would run the ball, but we still shoved it down their throat.

This was missing last year. It seemed we rarely ran the clock out at the end of a game.

Not worried about the sacks or lack of forced turnovers. This was the best offensive line we will face all year and maybe the most dynamic offense.

Romo had a brain fart, but at least he isnt hurt (Brady) or playing an entire game full of mental lapses (Manning).

The penalties are worrisome, but if we're but by 21 points every week it wont matter

yeah, I was real nervous too - in the Pound and all, however we played darn well - MINUS those 11 Penalties , they went up back.

Joe Thomas has greatness written all over him.

You're probably right, but I think that the Cowboys come with built in penalties. The refs are almost like cops...you know, how they have a quota of tickets they have to give out? I think they have a certain quota for America's Team.

Edit: BTW, there's nothing like seeing the Double Sized Romo commercial every 5 minutes...I hope it just rubs it in to all the haters.

Except for the one we face in practice everyday. ;)

What amazes me, is that we had 11 penalties, and we had the interception in the end zone and didn't force a turnover. Our best Cornerback was sitting on the bench and we still beat a good team by 18 points. Just.... a great team we have here, I'm excited.

Yea, i believe the Browns are going to be a good team and their O-line is very good. We have to stop the dumb penalties, that upset me most.

Yes he does, already maybe the game's best left tackle

Steinbach is also one of the game's best guards, and Kevin Shaffer is extremely solid as well.

I was stunned we stopped them as effectively as we did. Anderson looked lost in the second half, and Lewis only had two runs over 7 yards all day. Without the BS PI call, we may have held them without a TD

The Eagles, Steelers, and Giants OLs all looked quite impressive in their first games.

Playing the Rams, Texans, and Commanders probably didn't hurt either. ;)

All 3 played bad teams, and the Eagles and Giants played horrible pass rushing teams

We played a team with a very formative front 7

I was very thrilled with this win given that we started Procter at LG, had 11 penalties, didn't get any picks, and were missing our 3rd and 4th reciever. Plus Marion going out in the 3rd quarter, after only 5 carries, didn't hurt our offense at all since Jones came in and did well.

I'm quite proud.

Hey the Texans have a decent front 7. I will say the Rams and Skins stink....

BTW, the usually solid Colts D got destroyed by the Bears D.
