...I think most of the talk about Jerry Jones is just that - a bunch of talk.

This, however, I will never forgive him for. This ranks right up there with the Joey Galloway trade as one of if not Jerry's worst decision ever as our owner.

He might not make all the personnel calls, or the draft calls, but this is one call he definitely could have made. I've done a lot of thinking about this one, but it makes me absolutely sick.

The only thing I can do? If it's not us, I hope Denver walks to the Lombardi Trophy this year, for DeMarcus Ware. He is, in my opinion, the most deserving of a Lombardi Trophy in the league, second maybe only to Jason Witten.

Good luck, D-Ware. :(

Nice post, Sir...and well received by this fan of our players. Demarcus Ware was at the top of my respects for a long time.

I feel your pain Cas.

The only thing that will make this decision more tolerable is if we see this year that Ware is done physically and cannot stay healthy.

I root for the team. Not for Jerry and not for Ware. I would have loved for Ware to win a championship as a Dallas Cowboy, Witten too. As a Bronco? I couldn't be bothered.

Ware getting cut had to be done, due to years of laughing at the cap. When you make a bunch of ridiculous decisions, they will eventually catch up.

I was a huge DeMarcus fan and I still am. When my oldest son was born six years ago I couldn't get a cell signal and only email on my Blackberry. For most of the day I had my sisters going that their new Nephew had a first and middle name of DeMarcus Ware.

I was in favor of bringing him back, but not at 3/30. I do think he will bounce back and wish him well, but that price is too steep to gamble on.

Before painting Jerry as the bad guy. Let me throw something out there. Perhaps Jerry was actually thinking about what is best for Ware. If we are 'rebuilding,' and have a slim shot at a ring, maybe Jerry let Ware go to seek out a contender. Maybe Jerry made a few phone calls to see which teams were interested in picking him up if released. Ware was no longer a good fit here and his salary was high so it was also a good situation to release Ware.

Too much dreaming and over analyzing in this.

I hope they walk right to a first round playoff loss. Go Cowboys.

Time will tell on whether or not it was the right move, but it's good business to make decisions with your head rather than your heart. I think that's what happened here so I can't fault Jerry for that.

You can't forgive Jerry for making the smart choice of cutting an extremely expensive player that wasn't nearly productive enough anymore to be worth the cap hit?

So you're upset about the outcome yet rarely have anything critical to say about those who put us in the plight that lead to that outcome?

Cutting Ware was as much a football decision as it was a financial one.

Had he still been Demarcus Ware he'd still been a Cowboy. I'm not sure what over the last two years makes anyone want to pay him what he's making in guaranteed money on his contract.

People always cite the Patriots as a model organization. More anything their philosophy has been it's better to let a player go a year too early than a year too late. See Mankins, Logan.

You fans who want to complain no matter what......you can't have your brisket and eat it too.

lol...i have a d. ware jersey upstairs....but to be serious about how we needed to keep him tells me some people are looking through their d. ware colored glasses. take them off and realize this was the smartest thing jerry has done in a long time.

yeah we could have but the last couple of years, he never got sacks when necessary.

There are so many factors that come into play that involve "getting sacks when necessary." It's an arbitrary metric made up by people here to attempt to justify an agenda.
