I just got off work.....me and my girl finally not arguing( thank god) so i had time to think....and i sat down thinking bout the Giants game....and wondering what would happen if Reeves does start? i looked back at some games....and for some reason...i got a sudden rush of Confidence in this guy...like seriously...and I'm real freaking picky when it comes to corners...

But i look at Reeves and this guy has never really gotten Toasted or Burnt or Abused....hes always most of the time in position...but does not make the play...and sometimes he does....i don't know why..but i thought with Newman out our D would take a huge land slide...but thinking bout it..I don't think the Giants will get 2 much on Reeves n i actually feel a lil comfortable with Newman missing just a little bit(at least not past 3 games)

Reeves is no Newman..of course...i know i might get flamed but i think hes and upgrade at 3rd over Glenn...hes damn faster 4.3 vs about a 4.5...5'11 vs 5'9 maybe 5'8 with no ups...more physical vs not physical at all...i feel more comfortable now that i think about it....i want to have Newman out there...but hey Bring Reeves on..and lets see what the guy gots

I dont think most people are saying Reeves sucks, they are just sure Glenn would contribute positively, and those are the guys you want on the team.

How convenient that you've been starting all of these doom and gloom CB threads over the past week or so... then Wade says in the presser that "Reeves isn't going to make the big play, but he won't give up the big play," and suddenly you're not as concerned.

Is it tiring changing directions as the wind blows?

As for Reeves... I'm not too worried about him starting at CB. What I'm worried about is the Nickel/Dime packages if Newman can't go. We get Nate Jones, the new guy (Oglesby - sp?), or move Courtney Brown to CB in a pinch. THAT is where Glenn was needed. Was he better than Reeves?? Debatable. But would he have helped out in the situations when we have 3 and 4 CBs on the field, if Newman can't be one of them? I think the answer is absolutely.

I just don't understand the move.

that is true, and he must have imparted agreat deal of technique to the kids here, which is why Roy obviously values him.

ag made his bones in the afc before the divisional restructuring and faced marvin harrison annually, went up against moulds in his prime, and TG when he was at his fastest.

Aaron found ways back then to cover a very wide assortment of receiver types - and one was Key in practices in NY.

the guy needs to get into coaching - he must be a goldmine on technique
