Bring that quote to me in 2017 when he's looking more like Rolando McClain rather than Patrick Willis. My guess, you'll be on the hate train when I'm trying to calm you down telling you he's not as bad as you're making him out to be.

Y not? It's a good draft! Rb helps the D, arguably the best LB in the draft says he will play this year, and a nice interior DT who was in the top 3 of pressures

Like the first 2 picks just fine. It's the 3rd rounder that has me scratching my head. Jason Hargrave or even Jonathan Bullard would have been more explosive, more powerful AND more versatile picks.

it just got a whole lot better

My question is how much better. McFadden rushed for almost 1100 yards in 12 games as the starter. Had he started the entire year, you can add another third for around 1550 yards. DMC also had 328 receiving, so that would be about 437 over 16 games, for a total of close to 2000 total yards.

How much improvement will we see with Elliot in there? If he rushes for 1600 yards and catches 500, we gained 100 yards. Using a pick like #4 for an additional 100 yards does not seem cost effective.

Now DMC and s on the last year of his deal, and another season like last and he may want Murray money. So, if we got Elliott as a hedge against that big contract, and can get the same production as DMC for much l SS money, then great move. But picking him with the expectation we are going to see huge offensive gains is not proven out by the facts.

We are saving money, not gaining yards.

I like DMC but the fact that he stayed healthy last year shocked everyone. Odds of him being the workhorse and making it through 2016 without injury aren't in his favor.

More than what you're doing. Still waiting for you to counter my arguments.

But as we've already established, you post a lot, but say very little.

Counter what? Your complete bull about what was on those clips you youtubed? Give me a break ..... you have no idea what the assignments were or what pathways were run. You are an armchair guy who looks at youtube videos, calls it tape, and acts like a draft guru.

Jaylon Smith was a unanimous choice as a top 3 player before his injury, you are making yourself look even dumber by trying to argue that point.

Like Jerry Jones lipsmacking dumb.

But please continue ........ its hilarious.

Folks have a hard time differentiating "yards" from "quality yards". Yeah, DMC put up yardage last year. How was our short yardage game?

Also, remember when Romo went down for the year on a whiffed block by a RB?

I just don't understand the thought process by the decision makers. With the first pick, they go safe, with a guy they feel gives them the most immediate impact. It's not a great decision from where I sit, but that's what they did. Fine. Today, with a defense devoid of playmaking ability, the Cowboys kick the evening off by taking a player who isn't playing next year - and who knows when beyond that.

These resources are finite, but we don't seem to get that.

Post of the night. Also expecting McFadden to have another injury free season is a reach. At least now he can spell Zeke.

I laughed at this for a good 10 minutes. I appreciate it.

I don't like the draft so far. yes I think Zeke Elliott is a going to be a good player, but what's the difference between Morris/McFaddena and Zeke? vs. Ramsey and Carr. Instead of Ramsey, Jones, Scandrick DB backfield, we have Carr, Scandrick and Jones.....

Offense gets you to the playoffs. defense wins championships.

take ramsey and one of the DEs or DTs....then we can start to talk a championship team...

and once again....2nd round and huge risk/reward and it hasn't worked out over the past 12 years......

Once again here is a person that has bought into that defense wins championships BS. How many defenses you ever heard of in the history of football that has scored enough points on a consistent basis week in and week out to win any games let alone a championship?
POINTS WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS, AND THE OFFENSE PUTS THOSE ON THE SCOREBOARD!!!!.

Ramsey was not going to have an effect on our defense or games to help us win games, it just does not happen like that. A special RB like Zeke helps instantly. Ramsey will not be as good as they are talking him up to be, you had better stop believing these talking heads on television. Start studying and doing your own research on players, on football and how the games flow

Interesting stat on Collins: 3rd in interior QB pressures the last two years with 88 combined. Not much against the run per various scouting reports.

I don't like it either. I am sick of drafting players with drug or injury issues. I am sick of drafting stupid or low character players.

Smith may never see the field, and we used a 2nd on him, with all the holes needed to be filled. I have no idea who this guy from Nebraska is. I never even noticed him on the various draft sites.

Zeke will make you love our draft. You can't see the light today but it will shine on you this year. Without a doubt.
