I for the life of me can't understand how you think it's good to have a board for the Cowboys and expect the people here to use a different board for draft talk. I am sorry but I think that is rediculas!

Mybe if you just want to use a different board for all the post of mock drafts, but how can you at this time really expect Cowboys fans not to talk about the draft and who they would like to see them take? After all the draft and the FA this off season is the most important stuff going when it comes to the Boys.

A Cowboys board is the correct place to talk about the future of the team and that is the draft and FA's.

Done venting now and please if you don't like my 2 cents I will leave for good because this will become a board that is just too restrictive for me. Not that this board would miss me and I do know that, even if I did give a small donation for the cost of this board!

Just remember guys, this board needs people to post not the other way around and the more restrictive it gets the more fustrated people will get. I would think most are like me and almost never look at the other boards.

I think you are missing the point here.

If you have an article about a player coming out in the draft...post it in the draft section.
If you have an article about a team that may trade players for draft picks or something along that line...put it in the draft zone.

The reason this is encouraged is because it makes it EASIER for all to find these articles and such.
This main page moves so fast that many times if people do not see it on the first page the will not search for it or re-post the article...I do not have a problem with reposting some articles but then again if it is in the Draft zone on the first page...get my drift here.

Furthermore If I come in wanting to know about player x from school x that may be coming out in the draft....then it would be much easier for me to find information on that player, and probably many other interesting players, if it is in one central area.

I am sure you or others have been here long enough to know that there is many draft talk on the main section during the offseason as it is the offseason and slow....however it would make it much easier on everyone else if people would try to move some of this talk to the draft zone as it makes it easier to find and is grouped together.

This is the same reason we came up with the image zone....many people asking if any one had images from this game or that....all you have to do is go to the image zone and look through the pages and chances you will find images from the games this season.

This is not a do or die type of situation here, and therefore should not be reason to get all out of sorts over something....especially when it is aimed at making the site better, making it easier to find information, and grouping that information in a central on topic area.


I might add that it is NOT a different board, it is just a different section of this website...just like the image ZONE, political ZONE, off-topic ZONE, College ZONE, NFL ZONE....all are parts of the COWBOYSZONE.

I responded to a thread on the draft, then went back later and could not find it. Then I read the sticky talking about the draft zone. Saw it there, but there's not a lot of volume there...or so it seems now.

Hey, its the off season. The draft is a major topic. I agree that it shouldn't be in another zone.

The reason it is low volume is one of the following....

People don't know about the Draft Section, or other sections of the board....hence the reason for the sticky thread I posted and link.

People don't want to be bothered by actually just clicking another link....remember all it is is clicking a link to an area that is full of draft information.

People just refuse to do it because of whatever reason....So set in the ways or just being stubborn, not sure why, it really is no big deal to click a link.

People don't want to post in a low traffic area and therefore are helping to keep that area low traffic....odd.

Once again this is not a big deal...unless someone makes a gripe about clicking on a link to make it a big deal.

I agree with you Skip, there's not going to be much to talk about concerning the Cowboys for a while, but the draft. The main board will definitely be slow if we have to go to the Draft zone to talk about the draft, I can understand posting any mock drafts on there, but the main board should be still allowed to discuss the draft. LOL...Brain, I have enough trouble keeping up with the regular threads. No biggie actually now that I know. I guess its not a big issue if its done right. When I reply or start a thread in the draft zone, I go back there for it. Its when I reply or started one in the Cowboys Zone, then couldn't find it again, because it was moved. Thats when its most confusing.

Not missing the point at all. I said what I did because I think many here are like me and just have this board (or as you call it, this part of the board) in favorites and if I decide to look at another board here I just go to them from this one. However I would say that is maybe 2 times a year?

Anyway, I totally understand, just don't agree with you and wanted to express my point of view.

And let me say I am sorry to all the english teachers here for my spelling because I never took typing and when I type as fast as I can I do make mistakes, plus I am dyslexic and that tends to make me make mistakes.

I see what you and Brain are saying, but there's not going to be anything else to post on the main board, the busiest board with the most traffic...there's only so many of the Intercepterverde, J'ewel'ius, qb controversies, Parcells sucks, etc. threads that can be rehashed. IMO
