I feel better about Romo than I did

After watching two Qb's with Superbowl rings throw up ducks, and make simply stupid throws (see Pats vs. Colts), I realized that Romo wasn't alone in the bad throw dept.

Really, One of mannings picks looked like a punt, and Brady made some stupid throws as well.

So here's to you Tony. :clap2:

It would do everyone good to get a little perspective like that from time to time. Watching games around the league with the same critical eye that we reserve for the Cowboys. Even the best players don't hold up to that kind of insane criticism.

I guess that's why they call us fanatics.

I'm glad Tony seems to have learned to throw fewer crazy passes, he does seem to have lost his internal clock a little bit - while the line sucked, it seemed like Romo lost a little pocket presence as well.

Yet if you mention booboos made by the best players you have now made a comparison of our hacks to the greatest players in NFL History and that is a foul.

Very true. I enjoy watching the other games and think very highly of guys like Manning, Brady and Brees as well as some others around the league but they too have the bad games and horrid passes at times. I think some of the grief Romo takes is a bit uncalled for but I don't look for that to change.

If Tom Brady were the Cowboys QB everyone would be asking if he has lost it after 1 bad game.

This guy NEVER gives up. Ever. I can't for the life of me see how folks can feel justified in calling him out. He goes above and beyond and then some. He's made this half-wit offense look better than it should at times.

"Is it possible that Dallas Cowboys QB Tom Brady has lost the favor of Almighty God as a result of his having children out of wedlock - and is subsequently turning the ball over more frequently?" Todd Archer and Matt Mosley will consider this question and more in today's mailbag.

I thought Romo was awesome against the Packers. He showed alot of heart, and I never really believed we were out of it until the very end. He gained my respect cause he took a beating like no other and was still in there leading the team.

By that logic, Brad Pitt and I are in the same league because we sometimes leave the toilet seat up.

The difference is that Brad's seat is clean on the underside. ;)

You are right, sometimes as fans we live and breathe our team, disecting every play, second guessing every desicion in the heat of battle, and no player can live up to that kind of scrutiny.

So if I use this logic comparing Brady and Manning To Tony, does the same logic apply with Bill Bellichek and Wade?

Just read thru the thread.

Ok, Romo and his awesome scrambling ability is why Garrett hasn't been fired. Anybody else would take 15 sacks a game and would only muster up 5-11 seasons. :fact:

Your comparison groups are stretched too far to make this parallel.

OP is comparing QBs to QBs. This is a very small group, based on a very specific criteria. Your comparison, while slightly amusing, is comparing men to men, which is an enormous group with an extremely broad and numerous amount of criteria.

Speaking of fact alerts.

You know this will go right over heads right?

Trying to rationalize bad play is silly. The instance you start accepting marginal results you're accepting failure.

Maybe that's because his clock was perfectly fine while the line was giving him that extra second.

How about accepting the fact that these players are human and subject to mistakes. On avg Room has a lot more quality games than bad ones but like any QB out there he is going to make mistakes. Sorry they can't be perfect like you. I’m sure you’re a whiz kid on your Play Station.

I can't stand how the media always puts the blame on Romo for our late season collapse when it is our line that breaks down and doesn't let him get comfortable.
