I feel sicker now than I did during the Campo era.

I don't remember one time during the campo era ever thinking the team was under achieving or not playing hard and with heart.

They just didn't have much talent at all on the team.

But knowing the team has loads of talent (I still believe that) just makes me sick with the way they're playing.

There's nothing worse then a team that just doesn't play hard, doesn't play with heart, has no pride, etc...

The leadership on the team is the biggest issue (from coaches and players) with this team IMO.

A few weeks ago after Emmitt was bringing it up and a lot of you pushed it aside saying it's not a big deal cuz the players can focus on their own jobs and leadership wasn't needed.

Any of you care to re-evaluate that?

With the way the team is playing now, this is exactly when you need those leaders. This is exactly what I was talking about a couple of weeks ago when I said leaders (VOCAL leaders) are needed.

I totally agree. Not saying Campo is the answer or he got a bad rap.

But his teams played hard and with heart. Not sure if it was him, Darren Woodson's leadership or what.

The fact that any of us compare Philips to Campo is a bad sign.

Great post. We sorely miss that Darren Woodson presence from the Campo years.

This feels like '86 all over again-we were hyped as Super Bowl contenders throughout the offseason, we hired a stud offensive minded coach from SF(Paul Hackett) to be our OC, we got off to a fast 6-2 start(including a thumping of the Skins at home)...then all of a sudden Danny White AND Gary Hogeboom got hurt for the year at The Meadowlands, leaving us with Peluer(sp) for the remainder of the season. We DID have a chance to win that game only for boneheaded penalties to lose it for us.

It was ALL downhill since...our lone win in the 2nd half was against the lowly Chargers, while the straw that broke the camel's back was getting crushed by the Skins AT halftime at RFK, and then Landry slowly but surely lost control of the team.

Our secondary hasn't been the same since Woodson retired.

Well, it does to a point. The difference is we were playing better football in '86 before White got hurt then what they've played this year before Romo got hurt. Eventhough they were 4-2, they weren't playing good football.

I hear you. After the Rams scored another easy TD i think they had 14, i went on a profanity laced chewing of the D-fense that lasted a good 5 minutes. My wife told me to shut up, they cant hear you. To me this teams looks like it has zero discipline. During the Cinny game i just felt something is wrong with this team and i cant put my finger on it. And i dont believe it can be fixed in a week or two. This is really sad.

Zimmer/Campo era?

LOL

I felt far sicker in those days. We HAD zero chance of competing.

Get Romo and some of our injured back we are closer to a 13-3 team than a 5-11 team

I honestly believe that this team believed in their own hype. They believed that the rest of the league would just sort of move to the side and let them waltz to the SB. That's the attitude that has been projected since training camp. This team has been talking SB. Talk is cheap.

We all agree that we need to win a playoff game first.

Maybe this latest setback will convince this team that they need to win one game at a time.

Maybe it will convince Wade to change his approach before it is too late.

Maybe those who got their money will decide to play because they love the game.

Maybe, just maybe, Garrett will wake up from his slumber and get this offense back on track.

This whole team should give back their game checks for the past two weeks. Give it to charity. Prove that you here for the right reason.

I have been a fan much to long to give up now. I older, but I'm wiser.

I now understand why my dad almost gave up in 1967.

Forgot to mention a couple of things...1) We lost to the LOWLY Lions in wk2, and 2) DESPITE Lawrence Taylor not in game shape in the opener(missed TC b/c of drug rehab), it took a shootout to win it.

If I remember correctly, we didn't look THAT great either throughout the 1st half. We barely beat the Eagles(at The Vet) when they weren't very good and were still getting their feet wet under Buddy Ryan.

My point was eventhough we had less talent then, at least you knew they'd give effort.

We might have the most talented players in the NFL right now, but they don't play anywhere near their potential.

And Nors - as usual - didn't get it.

And why on earth isn't he on your ignore list?

Yea, I understand your point but I hated Campo, he was the ultimate kiss *** for Jerry Jones. Yes sir Mr. Jones sir. it was sickening. as far as Nors I've never put anyone on ignore, hell I've been married damn near 20 years, nothing much bothers me.

I am not at that point yet. It may get there though.

that team was hopeless and was run by a hopeless group of coaches with jerry the ringleader.

If this organization finds a way to waste the talent in ware, romo, witten, barber, newman and ratliff then I will be really sick.

no, I get it, we don't have the most talented players in the NFL - thats the point you are missing. And our 53 man roster is starting to fall off again with Parcells/Ireland gone now.
