When it comes right down to it, I hate to lose. And I hate to say it is okay to lose. And thats why it bothers me that I'm seeing all these posts saying its okay if we lose because we get to see if Romo is the future. Don't get me wrong, I supported Bledsoe when he was a starter, and I'll support Romo while he is our starter. I do kind of feel sorry for Bledsoe with all of this utter hatred towards him right now, but like Parcells says, you have to have thick skin to play quarterback in the league, and he should be able to handle it.
However, this is Romo's fourth year. He shouldn't be making as many mistakes as rookies do because he is not one. I'll excuse this past game because it was his first time seeing live action, but he needs to start showing something. I'm not going to accept losing. If we lose a game, I'm not going to feel better just because we are seeing if Romo is our future. He shouldn't need long to show us that and we should know by the end of the year.
I'm just going to ask that we don't start to excuse every mistake Romo makes, only to furthur blind us from reality. He may turn out to be a very good quarterback and he may not be, but be as critical as you would with anybody else starting back there. And I do not want to see anybody saying its okay to make mistakes, and its okay to lose, cause that is the mark of a loser. I've not given up hope on the Dallas Cowboys, and I will never concede a victory no matter how bad it looks.
