Got some pressure on the inside blitz, was strong at the point of attack on runs and seemed quick in the short zone. he wasnt exposed downfield which is obviously his weakness but i think the guy had a good game tonight.

As a Cowboy fan, why would "hate to have to say James didn't suck"?

I thought he looked good - slimmer and quicker too. I sure like not seeing him having to chase TEs down field.

My thought as well. If James continues to play like this, wouldn't this be a GOOD thing?

My opinion, but I think it's all directly related to the scheme. I mean, James was actually in the backfield with pressure. You'd be laughed off the board if you told anybody that's what you saw at any point last year.

If he can use that sleeker frame to twist into some holes, I don't doubt he's got the stuff to be great this year. I can see him putting that 2005 season to shame.

Me too.

I have a feeling at some point during the season he will get exposed and the way Burnett and Carp are playing they will be nipping his heals.

I can almost guarantee you he will be exposed in middle/deep coverage this year. But that's just Bradie. It's what you take with the package.

It sucks, because sometimes he'll look so darned good, and then others he'll look like he's never stepped on a football field before. It's those times he looks lost that we all remember.

So are you saying that you don't like being wrong or that you don't like the fact that a player you had little hope for is doing well. Speaking for myself, if there is a cowboy player I have little hope for proves me wrong I would be extremely happy to be proven wrong- but hey, that's just me.

The guy has looked great actually, and I was a huge basher of James. When you're gettin pressure on the QB, all other things fall into place.

Normally it would but cowboy support does not trump personal agendas. There will be a lot of crow being eaten when he has an outstanding season because many said he can't play, lol. For reference information see Gurode vs Johnson; many take sides and the loud and ignorant can’t let it go while they push their agendas. They will throw out many ignorant statements, lambaste a player, and clamor for another, while swearing their allegiance in blood. Once they perform their ill begotten ritual of cowboy player hate there is no turning back from that. The player will always suck in their eyes and he must be cut immediately no matter his salary implications, lol.

However, there are a few who understands that the grass is not always greener on the other side. That is why we can embrace the internal and external hate and smile without yelling to the rafters that we were right all along.

maybe that is because he doesnt suck. he was either our best or second best player on defense in 05. there is no need to think he cant be an outstanding player.

Other than the end of season skid that Brady had last year(like the rest of the defense) he has been a good player for us. Didnt he start to really show something after the 3 year Landry rule.... he will be fine... he is a major part of our defense....
